4th birthday - fairy card

Hallo ihr Lieben!
Die neue Herausforderung auf dem Challenge Up Your Life Blog lautet "Zahlen". Hier ist also meine Inspirationskarte:

Hello my dear crafty friends!
The new challenge over at the Challenge Up Your Life Blog calls for projects with "numbers" on them. That suited me very well, seeing that my cute little niece has her fourth birthday coming up and that I wanted to make her a very special card. This is my inspiration card:

The Art of Stamping" erinnert.

I started by stamping, colouring and fussy cutting all the images I needed. I also die cut the number 4 from some felt and started to push all pieces around on my card base. Somehow I felt that something was missing and luckily I remembered that I had seen this beautiful card from the wonderful SonjaK from "The Art of Stamping". My card needed something to provide a base for the scene and Sonja's brilliant idea with the grass came just in time.

Next I stamped the first part of the sentiment, assembled all parts below there and also glued down the die cut word "Geburtstag" (birthday) right below the grass. As a finishing touch I added a faux stitched line around my card and also slathered the fairy wings with Clear Wink of Stella. So much in fact, that you can even see it in the first picture for once *grin.

I hope you are going to show us your projects for the current challenge ("Numbers") - I am looking forward to seeing them!
