Für die Papercraft Challenge habe ich zum Thema "Blumen" diese Karte gebastelt:

For the newest "Flower" -themed Papercraft Challenge I created this card:

Ich habe diesen hübschen Blumenkranz von "Sparkle N Sprinkle" mit Copics coloriert und dann mit einem pink gestempelten Hintergrund und der süßen Katze von Mama Elephant kombiniert. Der Spruch ist aus einem Klartext-Set.

I used the pretty wreath image from our kind sponsor "Sparkle N Sprinkle" and paired it with a background I stamped in a light pink ink and this cute cat by Mama Elephant. The sentiment says "Get Better Soon" in German.

Bei Herzchen und Rosa denkt man ja gerade im Moment häufig an den Valentinstag - ich habe das Inspirationsbild der neusten PINspirational Challenge allerdings als Anlass genommen, um eine Gute-Besserungs-Karte zu basteln. Die fehlen oft bei mir im Vorrat und wenn ich dann mal eine brauche, habe ich meist keine Zeit schnell eine zu machen. Hier seht ihr das Inspirationsbild:

Heya my dear crafty friends!

When one sees hearts and the colours pink and red usually - especially at this time of year - people think of a Valentine - however, I wanted to show, that the theme of our newest challenge at PINspirational Challenges fits well with get well cards also. And seeing that I seem to lack them in my stash whenever I really need one I decided to create one of these. This is our inspiration picture:

 

Ich habe momentan ja wirklich viel Freude mit allen möglichen Schablonen, aber die von Create A Smile benutze ich besonders gerne. Einerseits sind sie toll designed und man kann sie eigentlich fast immer nutzen und was mir außerdem so gefällt ist, dass sie aus einer so schön dicken Folie gestanzt sind.  Mit "Spun Sugar" Distress Ink habe ich sowohl Innen als auch Außen einen Farbverlauf von unten rechts nach oben links gewischt und anschließend die Herzen aufgetragen. Da ich die Farbe außen intensiver haben wollte, habe ich dort "Picked Raspberry" benutzt - innen bin ich bei "Spun Sugar" geblieben.

I used one of Create a Smile's wonderfully sturdy stencils to create the background, using "Spun Sugar" and "Picked Raspberry" Distress Ink for the outside of the card and just the "Spun Sugar" for the inside. For both I created a gradiant from the bottom right to the top left with the light pink and afterwards added the hearts using the stencils.

Aus der Front habe ich mit einem Skalpellmesser ein Quadrat ausgeschnitten und von beiden Seiten einen quadratischen Rahmen aufgeklebt, um ein Fenster zu erhalten, aus dem die Katze herausschauen kann. Geöffnet sieht die Karte dann so aus:

I cut a square from the card front using a craft knife and added a square frame to both sides, so that I would have a window for the cat to look through. This is what the card looks like when you open it:

Alles, was nun noch zu tun war, war die Katze und alle weiteren Elemente aufzukleben und den Spruch außen unter das Fenster zu stempeln. Mich auf wenige Farben zu beschränken fällt mir wirklich immer sehr schwer. Dieses Mal wusste ich aber zum Glück recht schnell, was ich für die aktuelle Challenge auf Cards und More machen wollte, als ich dieses Farbschema sah:

Heya my dear crafty friends!

I do have a hard time confining myself to only one or two colours on a card (or anything I create really...). This time however I knew quite quickly what I wanted to make, when I saw the colour scheme for the newest challenge at Cards und More:

Felix mit seinem Friesennerz hatte es mir auf dem Stempelmekka angetan und ich bin so froh, dass er bei mir eingezogen ist, denn ich finde, er ist die perfekte Besetzung für diese Karte. Was meint ihr?

Felix (the penguin) with his coat was one of the stamps I found at the Stempelmekka (a fair in Germany all about stamps). And I am so glad I did find him, because I think he is the perfect image for this card and colour scheme. What do you think?

Coloriert habe ich ihn mit Zig-Markern, bevor ich ihn dann ausgeschnitten und auf den gewischten Wolkenhintergrund geklebt habe. Den Herzregen hatte ich zuvor mit dem Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Lemon Sorbet auf den Hintergrund aufgetragen.

I coloured the penguin with Zig markers before fussy cutting him out. I glued him on the background piece which I had created using Simon Says Fog Ink and the MFT cloud stencil. I also layered the shower of hearts on top using the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Lemon Sorbet.

Speedy Recovery

Immer mal wieder erwischt einen lieben Menschen eine fiese Erkältung und da ist eine Karte doch genau das Richtige, um demjenigen zu zeigen, dass man an ihn denkt und ihm eine gute Besserung wünscht. Vor Kurzem hatte es Nina erwischt - ihr kennt sie vielleicht von ihrem wunderbaren Blog "Engelchenbastelstube" - und da habe ich ihr fix diese Karte hier gewerkelt. Mit der Vorgabe unserer neuen Challenge auf dem Cards und More Blog habe ich auf Designerpapier verzichtet und alles selber eingefärbt:

Every now and then a dear friend catches a nasty bug and I think a card is perfect to show, that you think of them and wish them a speedy recovery. A short while back Nina - you might know her from her wonderful blog "Engelchenbastelstube" - was ill and so I sat down and made this card for her: Keeping our new task at the Cards und More in mind I didn't use any patterned paper and coloured everything myself:

Ich meine zu wissen, dass Nina die Kombination aus Türkis und Pink gerne mag (oder war es doch nur Türkis???) und deshalb habe ich einen entsprechend farbigen Hintergrund gestaltet. Dazu habe ich eine Schablone von Echo Park benutzt und mit Peacock Feathers Distress Ink ein Zickzack-Muster recht mittig auf mein Papier aufgetragen. Die weißen Ränder habe ich dann mit Tumbled Glass noch blau gefärbt.

I hope I remembered correctly that Nina loves the combination of turquoise and pink which is why I chose the bluish green tones for the background. I used a stencil by Echo Park and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to add the zig zags to the middle part of the panel and coloured the rest with Tumbled Glass.

Während der Hintergrund trocknete, habe ich die Taschentuchbox gestempelt und ebenfalls coloriert. Danach habe ich die Buchstaben ausgestanzt und mit den Zigs das knallige Pink aufgetragen. Als der Hintergrund trocken genug war, habe ich den Spruch embossed und die Elemente auf die Karte geklebt. Ich hatte übrigens das Glück die liebe Nina am Samstag auf dem Stempelmekka zu treffen und freue mich sagen zu können, dass es ihr schon wieder besser geht ;o) Happy crafting und euch allen einen wunderbaren, sonnigen und gesunden Tag ;o)

While I let the background dry I stamped and coloured and the tissue box. I also die cut the letters I needed for the banner and coloured them using Zig markers. After that was done I heat embossed the sentiment and added all elements to the card. I had the fortune to meet Nina at the Stempelmekka last Saturday and am happy to be able to say that she is feeling a lot better by now ;o) Happy crafting and a wonderful, healthy day to everyone reading this ;o)

Gute Besserungs-Füchse

Für einen Kursleiter musste vor Kurzem schnell eine Genesungskarte her, weil er länger ausfiel, als zuerst erwartet und seine Schüler ihm auf diesem Weg eine gute und schnelle Besserung wünschen wollten:

Last week I needed a card for a course instructor who has been ill for a while now and his students wanted to let him know, that they wish him a speedy recovery.

Ich hab sofort an diese süßen Füchse aus dem "Doctor's Helpers" Set von Create a Smile gedacht.

I thought that these cute foxes from the "Doctor's Helpers" set by Create a Smile was just perfect for the occasion.

Ein passendes Hintergrundpapier habe ich nicht gefunden, also habe ich einfach den kleinen Arztkoffer in diagonalen Linien in einem hellen Grau über die gesamte Kartenbasis gestempelt.

Because I wanted the background to fit in with the rest of the card I decided to make my own patterned paper and simple stamped the little doctor's bag in a light gray diagonally across the cardbase.

Da die Karte ja an einen Mann gehen sollte, habe ich auf zu viel Schnickedöns verzichtet und einfach nur ein Quadrat ausgestanzt, von der unteren rechten Ecke aus ein wenig Tumbled Glass aufgetragen und dann die Füchse so aufgeklebt, dass die Schwanzspitze des einen etwas über den Rand des Papieres hinausragt. Das bricht das Design ein wenig auf und macht es in meinen Augen etwas interessanter ;o) Zuletzt habe ich dann nur noch den Spruch gestempelt und mit einem Fineliner eine schwarze Linie um die Karte herum gezogen.

Because the card was meant for a man I abstained from any embellishments and simply die cut  square which I then inked up from the bottom right using Tumbled Glass Distress Inks. Next i glued the foxes down, so that the end of the tail hung over the edge of the die cut piece. This helps to give the design more interest in my opinion ;o). To finish the card I simply stamped the sentiment and added a black line around the card base using a fine tip marker.

Get well card with lots of dots

Hallo zusammen!

Heute möchte ich euch eine schnelle Karte zeigen, die von mehreren Challenges inspiriert wurde. Das Thema stammt vom Bastel-Traum (es sollte sich um Genesungswünsche auf der Karte handeln), die Farben von der Color Throwdown #331 und das Layout folgt dem Sketch der In{k}spire me Challenge # 187.

Heya there!

Today I would like to show you a card which was inspired by three Challenges. The theme (get well) was asked for by the Bastel-Traum Challenge, the colors are from the Color Throwdown #331 and the layout was inspired by the sketch from the In{k}spire me Challenge # 187.

Zu Beginn habe ich mir die drei verschiedene Farben Cardstock rausgesucht und sie mit einem Embossingfolder geprägt: kleine Punkte auf dem pinken, Herzen auf dem rosa und verschieden große Punkte auf den Kraft-Cardstock. Anschließend habe ich mit 4 verschiedenen Kreisstanzern die Teile für die Karte ausgestanzt. Um das Grün noch einfließen zu lassen habe ich den Spruck in "Wasabigrün" gestempelt und das weiße Stück noch auf grünen Cardstock aufgeklebt.

I took out the three colours of cardstock and embossed them with different folders: small polka dots on the dark pink, hearts on the light pink and large dots on the kraft piece. Afterwards I took 4 different sized circle punches and punched out the pieces for the card. To bring in the green I stamped the sentiment in "Wild Wasabi" and also matted the white piece on a green piece of cardstock.

Zuletzt habe ich noch den rosa Schmetterling hinzugefügt und mit dem Wink of Stella Glitterpen etwas Schimmer aufgetragen.

Lastly I added the little pink butterfly and on it some shimmer with my Wink of Stella Glitter pen.
