Ich wünsche euch allen ein wunderbares Fest mit all euren Lieben, Zeit für euch und die Menschen / Aktivitäten, die euch wichtig sind, leckere Schlemmereien, strahlende Lichter und Fröhlichkeit. Heute möchte ich gerne mit euch die letzte Karte meiner 2017er Weihnachtsserie teilen:

Merry Christmas my dear crafty friends!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Christmas with all of your loved ones, time for yourself and the people / activities that you love, delicious delightfulness (I hope this is the correct term), beaming lights and happiness. Today I would like to share with you the last card of my 2017's Christmas series:

Begonnen habe ich damit, den Biber auf ein quadratisch zurechtgeschnittenes Papier gestempelt, ihn mit einer Maske geschützt und die Pinien hinter ihn gestempelt: die großen nah an ihn ran und die kleineren so, dass sie weiter im Hintergrund sind. Anschließend habe ich den Hasen noch gestempelt, coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Coloriert habe ich alles mit Copics.

I started by stamping the beaver on a square piece of paper, that I had cut down to fit the frame I wanted to put over the scene later. Then I adhered a mask over the cute critter and stamped the trees. I stamped the large pine close to "Red" and the two smaller ones more to the side so that it looks like they are further away from him. Next I stamped the bunny, coloured it and fussy cut it out. I coloured everything with Copic markers.

Als nächstes habe ich die Kartenbasis vorbereitet: mit einer Schablone und der Hilfe meiner neuen Stencil-Brushes (die ich total liebe - werde euch mal darüber berichten, wenn ich sie auch weiterhin so genial finde) habe ich passend zur Mütze vom Hasen zartrosa Schneeflocken aufgetragen. Dann den Spruch sowie die Mini-Schneeflocken gestempelt und freihand die Linie außen herum gezogen. Zum Schluss habe ich den Rahmen über das Papier mit dem Bieber und das dann auf die Kartenbasis geklebt. Den Hasen habe ich mit Abstandshaltern festgeklebt. Ich hoffe, euch hat meine Serie Freude bereitet und euch vielleicht auch zu der ein oder anderen Karte inspiriert. Genießt die Feiertage und habt viel Spaß! Frohe Weihnachten, Eure Maike ;o)

Next I got started on the card base: with a stencil and the help of my awesome new stencil-brushes (which I totally love and thought I'd use them a bit longer before sharing my view on them if I still love them as much in a few weeks) I added some light pink snowflakes to the paper, so that they would fit the colour of the bunny's hat. Next I stamped the greeting and the three tiny snowflakes and drew a line around the edge of the card. I adhered the frame to the square pice of paper and then both elements to the card base. Using foam-tape the bunny was the last piece that got adhered to the card. I hope you liked my series and that I could maybe inspire you to create one or two cards. Sending Hugs - Squirrel Shaker Card

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!

Auf dem "Cards und More" Blog dreht sich in den zwei Wochen alles um das Thema "Shakercards". Da ich die Eichhörnchen von Clearly Besotted so niedlich finde und der Herbst ja quasi schon um die Ecke wartet, habe ich mich dazu entschieden, die kleinen Baumbewohner mal zu meinen Hauptakteuren zu machen :o)

The new challenge over at the "Cards und More" is all about "Shakercards". I do love these cute squirrels by Clearly Besotted and fall is almost lurking around the corner, so I thought I would make them the "stars" on my card this time ;o)

Zuerst habe ich Tumbled Glass Distress Ink mit einem riesigen Fingerschwamm auf die Kartenbasis aufgetragen. Als nächstes habe ich die "Storybook 4" Stanze 4 x durch die Big Shot gekurbelt und alle vier Lagen zusammengeklebt. Zwischen die oberste Lage und die darunter habe ich allerdings noch eine Folie geklebt, damit mir meine Shakerfüllung nicht flöten geht ;o)

I started by sponging some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink on to the card base using one of those giant finger daubers. Next I die cut the "Storybook 4" die four times and glued them together. I put some clear acetate between the top layer and the one below that, so that my shaker bits wouldn't go flying ;o)

Nachdem die Kartenbasis getocknet war, habe ich den Spruch mit weißem Pulver an der Stelle embossed, wo später das große Fenster sein würde und habe dann die Eicheln und Blätter auch an die richtigen Stellen auf die Karte verteilt und dann den Rahmen darüber gelegt / geklebt. Normalerweise würde ich es immer andersherum machen und den Rahmen auf dem Kopf liegend füllen, aber dieses Mal war es so rum einfacher, weil die Füllung ja nicht wegrollen konnte.

After the card base was dry I heat embossed the sentiment where I knew the largest window would be and also placed the acorns and leaves directly on top of the card base. It was  easier to adhere the shaker window over the filling this time. Usually I would fill the shaker area and then glue a piece of paper or the card base on top.

Ganz zum Schluss habe ich noch die Eichhörnchen an die richtigen Stellen geklebt und die Ecken mit einem Corner Chomper abegrundet. Nun hoffe ich, ganz viele Shakerkarten in unserer Gallery zu finden ;o) Bis dahin, viel Freude beim Basteln und euch allen einen wunderschönen Tag!

To finish the card of I adhered the squirrels to their places and rounded all four edges with a Corner Chomper. I hope to see many shaker cards linked to our gallery ;o) Until then, happy crafting and have a wonderful day!

Did someone say cake? (Strawberry Fairy / Erdbeerfee)

Zeit für eine neue Challenge auf dem Cards und More Blog. Dieses Mal soll es um besondere Ereignisse gehen. Ich habe mich für das Thema Geburtstag entschieden. Verwendet habe ich für diese Karte einen Digistamp unseres Sponsoren "A Day For Daisies":

It is time for a new challenge over at the Cards und More blog. This time we would like to see your creations for special occasions. I decided to make a birthday card and used a digi stamp from our sponsor "A Day For Daisies" to create it:

Zuerst habe ich den Digistamp ausgesdruckt, coloriert und anschließend ausgestanzt. Weil ich wusste, dass ich viel Rot auf der Karte haben wollte, habe ich den Rahmen in der Farbe angemalt, die ich auch als Mittelton für die Erdbeeren und das Kleid der niedlichen Fee benutzt habe: R27.

I started by printing, colouring and die cutting the cute fairy image. I knew I wanted to have lots of red on my card, so I coloured the frame with the same Copic marker that I had used on the strawberries and her dress: R27.

Nachdem ich das colorierte Papier und seinen Rahmen auf die Kartenbasis geklebt habe, habe ich den Kartenspruch gestempelt und noch ein paar Enamel-Sticker auf der Karte verteilt. Ich hoffe, euch gefällt meine Karte und dass ihr eure Werke mit uns teilen werdet ;o) Happy crafting!

After I had glued the coloured piece and its frame to the card base I added the sentiment and also some enamel stickers to finish off the design. I hope you like it and that you are going to play along with us ;o) Happy crafting!

Rezeptkarte Möhrenkuchen / Recipe Tag Carrot Cake

Hallo ihr Lieben!

Heute möchte ich eine Rezeptkarte und mal keine traditionelle Grußkarte mit euch teilen. Vor Kurzem habe ich einer lieben Freundin von mir ein Stück meines Schokomöhrenkuchens mitgebracht und sie versuchte daraufhin mich dazu zu überreden meinen Job sausen zu lassen und eine Bäckerei aufzumachen ;o) Keine Chance, da ich wirklich nicht so gut backe, aber dieses Rezept ist genial. Daher wollte ich die Rezeptkarte samt Rezept und das kleine Dankeschön-Geschenk mit euch teilen, dass ich meiner Freundin jetzt fertig gemacht habe:

Hello my friends!

Today I would like to share with you a recipe tag instead of a card. A short while back I gace one of my wonderful friends a piece of my carrot-chocolate cake and she then tried to persuade me to quit my job and to open a bakery ;o) Well, not a chance, because I am usually not all that great at baking, but this recipe truly is awesome. So I thought I would share the recipe card with you along with the actual recipe and the little treats I gave to my friend this week:

Zutaten:

350g fein geriebene Möhren, 200g Butter, 150g Kuvertüre (zartbitter), 250g Kuvertüre (Vollmilch), 150g Zucker, 1 Pck. Vanillezucker, 180g Mehl, 120g gemahlene Haselnüsse, 1/2 Pck. Backpulver & 4 Eier

Ingredients:

350g finely grated carrots, 200g Butter, 150 g  dark couverture, 250g milk chocolate couverture, 150g sugar, 1 pack of vanilla sugar, 180g flour, 120g finely ground hazelnuts, 1/2 pack of baking powder & 4 eggs.

Zubereitung:

(Nachdem ich die Möhren gerieben habe, heize ich in der Regel den Backofen schon einmal auf 150°C. Umluft vor, dann passt es bei meinem Ofen mit der Zeit.)
1.) Butter, Zartbitterkuvertüre und 50g von der Vollmilchkuvertüre in einem Topf schmelzen.

     Zucker, Vanillezucker, Mehl, Nüsse und Backpulver mischen.

2.) Eier verquirlen und dann die Kuvertüremischung einrühren. Dann abwechselnd die

     Möhren und das Mehlgemisch zugeben und unterrühren.

3.) Eine Springform (26cm) mit Backpapier auslegen und den Rand einfetten.

     Teig einfüllen und circa 40- 45 Minuten backen.

4.) Den gut ausgekühlten Kuchen mit der restlichen Vollmilchkuvertüre überziehen.
     Wenn man mag, kann man den Kuchen jetzt auch noch z.B. mit so niedlichen

     Zuckermöhren verzieren ;o)

Viel Spaß und guten Appetit!

Preparation:
(Usually I grate the carrots first and then I heat up the oven to 300°F. so that it is hot enough just in time, if you have an oven with circulating air. Otherwise it is 350°F.)
1.) Melt the butter, all the dark and 50g of the milk chocolate in a pot.
     Mix the sugar, vanilla sugar, flour, nuts and baking powder in a bowl.
2.) Whisk the eggs for about two minutes and add the chocolate mix to it. Next add the
     carrots and the flour mixture in turns.
3.) Put some parchment paper to the bottom of a 10 inch springform tin and use a bit of
     butter to grease the sides of the tin. Fill in the cake batter and put it in the oven for about
     40 to 45 minutes.

4.) After baking let the cake cool down, then coat it with the rest of the milk chocolate. If you
     like you can add decorations to the cake while the chocolate hasn't dried completely -
     you could use little sugar carrots for example ;o)
