Celebrate - Maaike Uithoven's 2000 follower celebration blog hop

Vor einer ganzen Weile haben Maaike von "Cards by Maaike" und ich Karten in Collaboration hergestellt. (Klickt hier, für unsere Collaboration.) Vor Kurzem hat sie gefragt, ob ich an einem Blog-Hop teilnehmen würde, der ihre nunmehr fast 2000 Follower auf YouTube feiert und natürlich habe ich zugesagt. A long while back Maaike of "Cards by Maaike" created a few cards for a collaboration we had - have a look here if you are interested in learning more about it ;o) Not so long ago, she has asked me if I would take part in celebrating her almost 2000 followers on YouTube and of course I said yes. In case you don't know her channel yet, just click here ;o)

Die anderen Teilnehmer des Blogs haben alle ebenfalls einen YouTube Kanal und haben anlässlich von Maaikes Meilenstein ein Video für euch aufgenommen. Schon allein dafür lohnt es sich, bei den anderen Craftern vorbeizuschauen, aber es gibt zusätzlich noch bei jedem Stop im Hop etwas zu gewinnen... Unter allen meinen Followern, die hier bis morgen Abend (04.02.2018) einen Kommentar hinterlasse verlose ich einen Preis, den ihr euch selber auswählen dürft: entweder die beiden Karten, die ich für den Hop gebastelt habe oder einen $10 Gutschein für einen Onlinebstelshop eurer Wahl ;o) Nun aber zu meinen Karte:

The other participants all have a YouTube channel as well and made a video for you because of Maaike's milestone. That alone would be worth it to hop over to their channels, don't you think? As an addition you will have the chance to win something at each stop from the hop though... But now, let's take a closer look at the cards:

Zuerst habe ich den Hintergrund mit drei verschiedenen Farben Distress Inks verblendet: Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves und Picked Raspberry. Danach habe ich sowohl eine kleine Menge Copic Opaque White als auch Perfect Pearls Pulver in dem Farbton Perfect Pearls etwas mit Wasser verdünnt und auf den Hintergrund gesprenkelt ;o) Während der Hintergrund trocknete habe ich  die Elemente für meine Karte gestempelt, coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Dabei habe ich Zig Marker für die Katze und Copics für den kleinen Bären benutzt.

I started by creating a background with three colours of Distress Inks: Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry. Next I splattered Copic Opaque White over the coloured background as well as some watered done Perfect Pearls powder in the colour Perfect Pearls :o) While that dried I coloured and fussy cut the images for my cards. I used Zig markers for the cat and Copics for the little bear.

Aus dem Hintergrund, den ich auf Kartengröße zurechtgeschnitten hatte, habe ich die Sprechblase mit dem Schriftzug "Celebrate" ausgestanzt. Für die Karte mit dem Bären habe ich das "Original" zu einem Shakerfenster gemacht. Dazu habe ich Folie hinter das Stanzteil geklebt und dann Foamtape am Rand aufgeklebt. Damit die Sterne nicht komplett am Boden liegen, habe ich jeweils einen schmalen Streifen Foamtape von links nach rechts hinter den Zwischenraum der Buchstaben geklebt. Für meine zweite Karte habe ich dann die "Reste" verwendet ;o) In Verbindung mit der Sprechblase in weiß und für den Schatten noch einmal in grau, sieht man ihr gar nicht an, dass sie ein Nebenprodukt ist, oder???

I cut the background piece to size and die cut the "celebrate" speechbubble from it. For the card with the bear, I made a shaker out of the "original" die cut. I glued clear acetate behind the piece and added foam tape around the edge and from left to right where the gaps between the letters are, so that the shaker material wouldn't only be at the bottom. For my second card I used the "scrap pieces" ;o) In combination with the speechbubble dir cut from white and another time from grey paper as a shadow, you wouldn't guess, that it was a by product, or would you?

Als ich über das "Kaffeeliebhaber"-Thema nachgedacht habe, hab ich mir zuerst einmal alle Stempel angesehen, die dazu passten und fand die schöne große Tasse von "Smell like Christmas". Dann hab ich weitergedacht und mir überlegt, dass ich es immer am tollsten finde eine warme Tasse Tee oder Kakao (ich gestehe, ich bin kein Kaffeeliebhaber) angeboten zu bekommen, wenn es um mich rum richtig kalt ist. So kam ich dann auf den Pinguin und den eisigen Hintergrund ;o) Den habe ich übrigens unter der Anleitung von Sandy Allnock freihand gemalt und zum Schluss nur noch den Spruch auf die Horizontlinie gestempelt.

When I was thinking about the coffee-lovers theme I looked at my stamps and found this mug. I thought it would be just perfect if one were in a very cold surrounding and would be offered a steaming hot beverage. This is how I came to pair these two adorable images ;o) I created the background scene free hand following a video tutorial by Sandy Allnock and stamped the sentiment right on the horizon line.

Die Tasse habe ich so angebracht, dass es von vorne ausschaut, als hätte der Pinguin sie in der Hand, sie ist aber auf einen Mini-Action-Wobbler "montiert", damit sie ein wenig hin-und-herwackelt, wenn man die Karte aus dem Umschlag nimmt. (Immerhin würde ein Pinguin ja etwas watscheln und die Tasse sich bewegen, oder?)

The mug is adhered on an action wobbler and moves a little when you take the card out of the envelope. Maybe the penguin is a little cold, too, and might need its own cup of hot cocoa soon ;o)

Die letzten Tage war es hier etwas ruhiger, als ich mir das gewünscht hätte, aber kaum, dass ich am Donnerstag zu Hause war und alles mögliche tun wollte (Freitag hatte ich natürlich frei...) spürte ich Gliederschmerzen aufziehen und kurze Zeit später gab es dann die volle Packung: Fieber, Hals-, Kopf- und Ohrenschmerzen und ich bin nur noch in mein Bett gekrabbelt. Daher kommt heute unser wunderbarer Adventskalender-Hop auch etwas zu spät online.... Bei all den schönen Dingen, die es zu bestaunen gibt, werdet ihr mir aber hoffentlich bald verzeihen ;o)))

Heya my dear crafty friends!
The last couple of days it has been a lot quieter on my blog than I had wanted it to be. When I came home from work on Thursday after noon I felt a bit of a muscle pain and soon after that I had a high temperature, a sore throat, a headache and felt so bad that I went to bed right then. This is why I am a little late with posting the wonderful Advent Calender Hop today... However, I am sure you'll find it in your heart to forgive me when you see all these wonderful packages and surprises along the way ;o)))

Hier seht ihr den mega-süßen Kalender, den ich von meiner lieben Bastelfreundin Chris bekommen habe. Hat sie sich damit nicht selbst übertroffen? Man findet immer wieder neue tolle Details und ich liebe es, dass der Kalender insgesamt so eine gigantische, durchgehende Szene darstellt! Absolut genial, vielen, vielen Dank liebe Chris, der Kalender ist wundervoll und ich liebe ihn!

This is the uber-sweet calender I got from my lovely craftyfriend Chris. Didn't she completely outdo herself with this? There are so many wonderful details and the images are just so very cute! I love the fact that it is one giant continuous scene! Thank you so, so much Chris, your calender is perfect and I love it!

Wir haben uns übrigens für einen sechsteiligen Kalender entschieden: ein Teil für jeden Adventssonntag plus je eines für Nikolaus und Weihnachten. Auf diese Weise bekommt man einiges an Überraschungen unter und es wird nicht zu Arbeit ;o) Hättet ihr Lust mit mir mein erstes Päckchen zu öffnen? (Pünktlich zum ersten Schnee in NRW übrigens...)

By the way, we decided to "only" create six things for the calender: one for each Advent Sunday, one for Saint Nicholas' Day and one for Christmas, so that it would still be fun to create it and not end up being work ;o)  Would you like to open the first box with me???

Chris hat mir nicht nur diese im doppelten Sinne süßen Schneemänner in die Box gelegt, sondern auch noch meine Lieblingshandcreme ;o) Wie auch immer sie das wissen konnte, aber jetzt habe ich noch eine, die immer mit mir mitkommen kann ;o) Vielen, vielen Dank liebe Chris! xx

Chris did not only put these cute and tasty snowmen in my first box, but also made sure the skin on my hands won't get too dry during the winter time ;o) How she could know that this is my favourite hand creme I have no idea, but now I have one to take with me ;o) Thank you so much, Chris! xx

Ich hab mich für ein Rentier-Thema entschieden und bin überwiegens bei weihnachtlichem Rot und Grün geblieben. Die Boxen sind fast alle unterschiedlich, weil ich sie dem jeweiligen Inhalt angepasst habe. Liebe Karolin, ich wünsche Dir viel Freude mit den Päckchen und ihrem Inhalt! I decided to go with a reindeer-theme and a traditional red and green colour scheme for my calender. The boxes are almost all different, because I made them the right size for the things I wanted to put in them ;o) Dear Karolin, I wish you a lot of fun with the little boxes - I had a lot of fun making them for you ;o) Have a wonderful first Advent Sunday and a fantastic time in December!!! Happy Insta Girls Halloween Hop

FINALLY...here is another Happy Insta-Girl Blog Hop for you. As you could probably guess it is all about....Halloween. Just in case you wonder who the Happy Insta-girls are, we are a group of girls who met 'on' Instagram and thanks to Birka we organise regular blog hops, where we send each other cards and share them with you. Diese süße ... ähhh gruselige Karte habe ich von der supertalentierten  Anni von Annikarten bekommen. Wie ihr wisst, liebe ich ja Shakerkarten, süße Monsterchen und tolle Hintergründe. Das Highlight auf dem Schriftzug und das Spiel mit Licht und Schatten auf dieser Karte haben mich echt beeindruckt, weil es einfach supercool aussieht. Aber schaut selbst:


This very supercute ....eh spooky card arrived from Anni (Annikarten). As you all know I love shaker cards, sweet little monsters and great backgrounds. Highlighting the sentiment and playing with light in shadow in a very clever way impressed me a lot. I think it looks really cool, but see for yourself: 

Wenn man die Karte öffnet, findet man das Monsterchen noch einmal in seiner Originalfarbe :o) Das hat mich wirklich zum Grinsen gebracht und die Karte sogar noch "runder" gemacht. Liebe Anni, vielen, vielen Dank für diese geniale Karte! 

What a lovely suprise I found inside when I opened the card - the monster in original colours. It did make me smile and finished the card off. Dear Anni, thank you very, very much for this amazing card!

Dieses Mal durfte ich Wiebke von "Buntebastelecke" mit einer Karte überraschen. Ich weiß zufällig, dass sie interaktive, besondere Kartenformate total gerne mag und habe mich dazu entschieden ihr genau so eine Karte zu basteln. Das Design habe ich bei "Liebesfuchs" gesehen und wusste, dass ich das für Wiebke ausprobieren wollte. Das ist dabei herausgekommen:

This time I was able to surprise Wiebke from 'Buntebastelecke' with one of my cards. Just by chance I knew that she enjoys interactive and innovative card formats and so I decided to include exactly that in my card. The design I found on 'Liebesfuchs' and I knew instantly that this is what I wanted to try for Wiebke's card. This is the result:

Oben könnt ihr sehen, wie die Karte ausschaut, wenn man sie auseinander faltet und unten seht ihr, was Wiebke gesehen hat, als sie die Karte aus dem Umschlag genommen hat. Sich auf diesem Format auszutoben hat total viel Spaß gemacht und falls ihr auch so große Freude an solchen Spielereien habt, solltet ihr es auch auf jeden Fall mal ausprobieren :o)

In the upper part of the picture above you can see what it looks like when the card is unfolded and underneath is the look of what Wiebke saw, when she pulled it out of the envelope. I really enjoyed playing with this idea and in case you would like interactive cards as well, then why don't you give it a try?

Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Inks in "Wilted Violet", "Spiced Marmelade" und "Wild Honey" gewischt und anschließend noch Sprenkel in ähnlichen Farben hinzugefügt. Die silberglänzenden Punkte habe ich mit einem Gemisch aus Wasser und Perfect Pearls in der Farbe Perfect Pearls gemacht.

The background is created with distress inks in 'wilted violet', ' spiced marmalade' and 'wild honey' by distressing the edges. Afterwards I added some flicks of paint of similar colours. The silver spots were created with a mixture of water and perfect pearls in the colour 'perfect pearls'.

Für den Gruß an Wiebke habe ich ein Quadrat mit Wellenrand ausgestanzt und den Rand mit "Wilted Violet" eingefärbt, damit es besser zum Rest der Karte passt. Auch hier musste natürlich noch mal eine kleine Spinne auftauchen... :o) Damit die Karte flach im Umschlag liegen konnte, habe ich ein Band aus Papier gestaltet, auf das ich dann auch direkt noch meinen Kartenspruch gestempelt habe :o)

To write a message for Wiebke I cut a scalloped square and coloured the edges with 'wilted violet' so that it would blend in with the rest of the card. Of course I had to add a little spider as a finishing touch. In order for the card to fit flat into the envelope, I cut a strip of paper to go around the outside and to finish it off, I added my own sentiments to it.

Seit Mooooo-na-ten planen wir eine riesengroße Geburtstagsüberraschung für Birka von "Mit Herz und Schere" - ihr kennt sie und ihre wundervollen Karten sicherlich alle ;o) Wie ihr Blogname ja schon verrät hat sie ein Herz fürs Basteln aber auch und vor allem für die Menschen hinter den Scheren und Blogs. Falls ihr euch fragt, wie meine Karte entstanden ist, hier ein ganz kurzes Rezept: Den Hintergrund habe ich mit den genialen Embossing Mousses von Nuvo in Peony Pink und Pink Flame hergestellt. Die Mousse ist vielseitig einsetzbar, trocknet super schnell und gibt einen genialen metallischen Schimmer (wie man hoffentlich in den Fotos erahnen kann...). Nach dem Trocknen habe ich in das Papier ein Fenster hineingestanzt und es mit einem Geburtstagswörter-Embossingfolder geprägt. Die Stempel stammen - bis auf die Herzen -aus dem Set, das ihr gewinnen könntet ;o)

In case you are wondering how I made my card, here is a short recipe: I created the background using the awesome Embossing Mousses by Nuvo in Peony Pink and Pink Flame. The mousse can be used in many ways, dries super fast and has this brilliant metallic sheen when it is dry (which I hope you can guess from the pictures...). After everything was dry I die cut the round window from the paper and also embossed it with some cute birthday-words. The stamps I used are mostly from the set that you could win ;o)

Happy Insta-Girls Easter Blog Hop

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!
Sucht ihr noch kurzfristige Ideen für Osterkarten und Ostergeschenktütchen? Dann seid ihr heute bei unserem Happy-Insta-Girls Blog-Hop goldrichtig ;o)) Dieses Mal ging es natürlich um eine Osterkarte, aber es sollte auch noch eine selbstgebastelte Geschenkverpackung mit dabei sein. Falls ihr von unserer netten Truppe heute übrigens zum ersten Mal gelesen habt, schaut doch einfach mal hier vorbei (das ist unser letzter Oster-Hop, wo ihr also noch mehr Inspirationen finden könnt) oder hier (wo ich ein wenig mehr darüber erzähle, wie die Mädels sich gefunden haben und warum).
Aber nun möchte ich euch zeigen, was ich von der lieben Lisa von Project Cupcake für eine wunderbare Überraschung zugeschickt bekommen habe:

However, it is high-time that I showed you the wonderful surprise I got from the talented Lisa from Project Cupcake:

Lisas Karte und die tolle Duploverpackung passen optisch einfach wunderbar zusammen und ihre Liebe zum Detail ist in jeder Ecke spürbar - immer wieder entdeckt man etwas Neues ;o) Vielen, vielen Dank liebe Lisa für diese Kunstwerke! Sie werden noch lange über Ostern hinaus mein Regal schmücken, auch wenn ich nicht versprechen kann, dass der Duplospender dann noch was zum Rausrücken haben wird ;o) Es ist einfach zu verführerisch und macht zu viel Spaß, an der Lasche zu ziehen und mit einer Nascherei "überrascht" zu werden!

Lisa's card and her super sweet (hehe) chocolate dispenser look stunning together, because at first glance they seem to be so different, but then you find all the little details that make them one set and it is so much fun finding ever more of these decorations / elements whenever you look at it again ;o) Thank you so, so much dear Lisa for this piece of art! I will put it on my shelf and look at it often, but I can't promise that the dispenser will be able to do its work  after Easter because it is yummy and so much fun to pull at the flap and find a sweet "surprise"!

Mein Osterpaket ging an die liebe Nicole von dem Blog "Frau Vögeli". Ihre bunten, fröhlichen Karten finde ich super klasse und wollte ihr etwas in diese Richtung schicken. Ich hoffe, es hat ihr gefallen:

Ich weiß gar nicht, ob ihr das wusstet, aber ich lieeeebe Box-Karten (heißen die so auf deutsch???).  Die Tatsache, dass manauf so vielen Ebenen arbeiten und dadurch Tiefe erzeugen kann, finde ich klasse. Benutzt habe ich die Stempel von dem Set "Eggstra Special Easter" von Lawn Fawn:

Not sure if you know this, but I love box cards. The dimensional look and that one has many levels to decorate the card and create a scene is awesome I think. I used images from the Lawn Fawn "Eggstra Special Easter" set:

Und hier noch einmal ein Blick auf die Verpackungen. In die kleine Tasche habe ich ein Loch gestanzt, um ein Plastikfenster "einzubauen", damit der Osterhase auch hinausschauen kann ohne die Leckereien für Nicole zu verlieren ;o)

And here is a closer look of the gift boxes and the bag. I die cut a circle out of one side of the bag and "sealed" the hole with an acetate window, so that the Easter bunny could have a look around but wouldn't loose his goodies for Nicole ;o)

Christmas Series Card #19 / Weihnachtsserie Karte #19 (Happy Insta-Girls X-Mas Blog Hop)

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!

Ich freue mich sooo sehr euch heute mal wieder einen unserer Happy-Instagirls Blog Hops präsentieren zu können ;o))) Vielleicht wisst ihr ja, dass die  Happy Instagirls eine Gruppe Mädels ist, die sich über's Liken und Kommentieren auf Instagram gefunden haben. Wir sind alle Kartenbastlerinnen und haben uns gedacht, es wäre doch klasse, wenn wir uns auch mal Karten zuschicken würden, um sie in den Händen halten und nicht nur auf dem Display bestaunen zu können. Und das haben wir nun schon ein paar Mal gemacht und jedes Mal gab es ganz wunderbare Werke zu bestaunen! Heute gibt es einen Blog Hop zum Thema Weihnachts- und Winterkarten und ich denke, dass auch dieses Mal eine ganze Menge Inspiration auf euch wartet ;o)

I am delighted to be able to present to you a brand new Happy-Instagirls Blog Hop ;o)))  Maybe you have heard of our group of girls who met on Instagram through liking and commenting on each others posts. We

thought it would be great if we could hold the cards in our hands and not only look at pictures of them on our displays. And that is what we did! There were a few hops already and there was always a lot to swoon about and great inspiration as well. This time our blog hop theme is winter and Christmas cards and I am sure that there are lots and lots of awesome projects waiting for you ;o)

Diese wunderbare Winterkarte habe ich von der lieben Vanessa bekommen. Sehen diese vielen Ebenen nicht einfach fantastisch aus? Und die Mäuse sind zauberhaft süß, finde ich!!!

[Liebe Vanessa, vielen Dank für Deine tolle Karte - kurz nach ihrem Eintreffen hatte sie sich schon mit der Winterdeko angefreundet und passt ganz ausgezeichnet dazu ;o)]

Aber nun will ich euch nicht länger auf die Folter spannen... Hier ist das Werk von Vanessa:

Ich war Jeanins Karten-Wichtel und wollte ihr eine ganz besondere Freude machen, also habe ich frühzeitig angefangen und ihr eine Twist Pop Up Karte nach Video-Anleitung von Maymay gemacht. Und das ist dabei herausgekommen:

I was Jeanin's Secret Santa and I wanted to create a special card for her so I started early and made a Twist Pop Up card for her following the video tutorial by Maymay. And this is what came out of it all:

Die Maße habe ich so angepasst, dass man auch mit A4-Papier arbeiten kann und nicht auf die US-Maße angewiesen ist, wenn ihr Interesse habt, erstelle ich gerne eine Grafik für euch mit den Maßen, die ich benutzt habe ;o) Die Motive sind aus dem Set "Come Let Us Adore Him" von Sugar Pea Design und ich finde sie absolut klasse. Eigentlich war es ein Ersatz für das Santa-Set und ich dachte, dass man die Tiere ja das ganze Jahr über brauchen kann, aber jetzt, da ich damit gearbeitet habe, finde ich die Stempel absolut genial.

I changed the measurements a tiny bit, so that I could use a standard A4 paper, instead of the American size. If you are interested in the exact measurements, just leave a comment and I will add a graphic for it as soon as I can ;o) I love the images from the "Come Let Us Adore Him" set by Sugar Pea Design. Originally I had wanted the set with the three cute Santas, but with this set I talked myself into liking it at first by telling myself I could use the animal stamps all year long after all. However, now that I have worked with the images I am soooo glad I got them - they are absolutely adorable and so much fun to colour!

Den Hintergrund habe ich inspiriert durch Sandy Allnock selbst in Angriff genommen und bin auf das Ergebnis echt sehr stolz. Zeichnerisch bin ich nicht so unbedingt begabt, aber die vielen Tipps aus Sandys Videos haben mir sehr geholfen mich da überhaupt dran zu trauen!

I coloured the background inspired and enabled by Sandy Allnock's videos on YouTube. Even though I am not very talented when it comes to drawing anything free hand - and truly don't feel comfortable doing it - I am quite pleased with how this one turned out and I am very thankful for Sandy's tutorials!

This is what the mechanism of the card looks like, before everything is assambled.

Die Vorderseite der Karte wollte ich recht schlicht halten und da das Kamel keinen Platz mehr im Stall gefunden hatte, habe ich es nach vorne verfrachtet, um dem Stern nach Bethlehem zu folgen. So konnte ich auch das Papier von innen noch einmal benutzen. Das lässt Karten immer noch eine Spur "runder" und professioneller erscheinen finde ich.

I wanted to keep the outside of the card rather plain and seeing as the camel didn't fit into the stable anymore I let it follow the star on the front of the card. That gave me a chance to use the paper, that I had used on the inside, again to tie everything together.
