Herzlichen GLÜCK-wunsch

Hello my dear crafty friends,

I don't know about you, but life has gotten way more hectic over the last two months in my little corner of the world. That is why you haven't seen a lot of new cards lately and I am afraid more than two or so a month won't be managable for me right now. However I do hope you still come by every now and then. Today's card is for the "Fortune, Good Luck, Mushrooms" challenge over at Challenge Up Your Life. In German the theme of the challenge is simply called "Glückspilz", which is the name of a person who has a lot of good luck and "Pilz" is the word for mushroom, so that is why you will see a giant mushroom on my card:

With the wonderful stamp set "Always bring a smile" by MFT I created this little scene. My idea was that it is the foxes birthday and the turtle is about to bring a flower as a gift. The sentiment "Herzlichen Glückwunsch" means congratulations and is used to wish someone a happy brithday over here. 

The whole scene was coloured with Copic markers and when everything was completely dry I added the sentiment. The word "Glück" is stamped in "Lime Green" ink by MFT and then covered with a clear embossing powder.

Heute ist wieder Doppel-Dienstag, das heißt, ich teile jetzt eine Karte mit euch und später am Nachmittag habe ich dann noch einmal eine. Die Karte, die ihr hier schon seht, ist mein Inspirationsbeitrag für die aktuelle PINspirational Challenge und da dreht sich ab heute alles ums Thema "Fußball":

Today is two-cards-tuesday which means that I am going to share one card with you now and the neyt one later tonight :o) The card you are seeing here already is my inspiration for the current PINspirational Challenge. From today on we would like to see your projects about football or maybe you would much rather be inspired by the beautiful colours of the picture? That's awesome, too ;o)

Meine Inspiration habe ich natürlich vom Thema Fußball genommen, aber auch die vielen Farben und die Kreisform wollte ich aufgreifen. Als ersten Schritt habe ich ein Papier für den  Hintergrund ausgestanzt, aus dem ich zusätzlich noch einen Kreis gestanzt habe und welches ich außerdem mit einem Muster geprägt habe, dass mich an das Netz im Tor erinnert hat. Danach habe ich einen runden Rahmen ausgestanzt, der etwas kleiner als die Öffnung ist und einen noch etwas kleineren Kreis, auf den ich ein Tor gestempelt habe und mit nicht nachge"ladenen" Blendingtools in den passenden Farben das Gras und den Himmel aufgewischt habe.

My inspiration came from the theme obviously but also from the circle form and the many different colours. My first step was to die cut a card panel, which I also die cut a circle from and dry embossed with a pattern that reminded me of the net in the goal. Next I die cut a circle frame that was slightly smaller than the opening, so that it would be able to move and another circle again smaller than the frame. On the latter I stamped a goal and added some grass and sky by simply going over it a few times with a (not re-inked) blending tool.

Auf den Kreisrahmen habe ich die acht verschieden farbigen Fußbälle aufgeklebt. Beim Zusammenbau der Karte habe ich bei der Hälfte der Bälle jeweils einen Kreis von hinten dagegengeklebt, so dass eine Art Führung entstand und die Bälle nicht nach vorne rausfallen konnten. Unter die anderen Bälle habe ich Abstandshalter von MFT geklebt, die für die richtige Höhe sorgen sollten. Bevor ich die Elemente aufkleben konnte, musste ich erst einmal einen Moment überlegen, damit sich die Bälle später auch drehen konnten und das Fußballtor auch am richtigen Platz war. Zum Schluss habe ich dann nur noch den niedlichen Torwart und den Spruch dazu geklebt und meine Karte war fertig ;o) Ich hoffe, sie gefällt euch. I adhered the eight footballs directly to the circle frame and then I started building my card. I had to think twice to make sure that the circle would be able to move, but it worked out just fine with the help of four circles glued behind the balls to stabilize them and also four Spin & Slide discs by MFT. After I had assembled everything I could add the cute little goal keeper and the sentiment as well. Glückskuh

Habt ihr schon mal eine Kuh an einem riesengroßen Kleeblatt knabbern sehen? Nein? Na, hier ist eine ;o)

Have you ever seen a cow chewing on some clover? No? Well, here is one ;o)

Aus irgendeinem Grund kann man die Wortstreifen auf dem Foto nicht ganz so gut erkennen. Wenn man sie in der Hand hält kann man den zweifarbigen Spruch "Good Luck" jedoch prima lesen. Schade, dass die Kamera bzw. das Licht da nicht immer so mitspielen...

For some reason the word strips are not easy to read in the picture. But I hope you'll believe me, when I tell you that the sentiment is quite legible in real life. It is a shame, that the camera or the lighting (whatever it was in this case) isn't as cooperative as I would like it to be...

Nun zur Karte: Ich habe als erstes den Rahmen ausgestanzt, dann die Kuh mit Memento Ink draufgestempelt und anschließend mit Copics coloriert. Auf meine Kartenbasis habe ich als nächstes ein grünes Papier geklebt, das farblich gut zum Kleeblatt und den gestempelten Wortstreifen passt. Den Rahmen habe ich nur innen festgeklebt, so dass ich die äußeren Bögen ein wenig hochklappen konnte. Das gibt der Karte trotz des CAS-Looks noch etwas verspieltes.

Back to the card itself: First I die cut the frame from some white paper, stamped the image with Memento Ink and coloured it with Copic markers. I adhered a piece of green cardstock to my cardbase that would go nicely with the clover and the stamped word labels. I glued the frame down leaving the outer edge without any adhesive, so that I could bend it upwards a little. That gives the otherwise very CAS card a tiny bit of playfulness.

Viel Glück mit Pilzen und Klee

Hallo Hallo meine Lieben!

Heute möchte ich euch eine "Viel Glück" Karte zeigen, die schnell gemacht ist und sich gut verschicken lässt! Ich mag diese niedlichen Pilze, ihr nicht auch? (Und ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich Pilze mal niedlich finden könnte....)

Today I'd like to show you an almost one layer "Good luck" card, which can be made rather quickly. I love these cute mushrooms, don't you? (And I would have never thought that mushroom even could be cute...)

Als erstes habe ich das weiße Papier ausgestanzt und die Pilze gestempelt - dabei habe ich dieses Mal sogar bedacht, dass ich Platz für meinen Spruch brauche. Der tatsächliche Stempel sieht so aus wie meine unterste Pilzreihe. Da ich aber nicht wollte, dass alle Reihen gleich aussehen, habe ich den Stempel in den obersten beiden Reihen nur teilweise abgestempelt und / oder den Rand abgeklebt, so dass immer genau fünf Pilze nebeneinander stehen.

First I die cut the white panel and stamped the mushrooms - making sure to leave enough room for the sentiment though. The actual stamp looks like the bottom line of mushrooms on my card. Because I didn't want all rows to looks the same I alternated the stamping by just partially stamping it and masking the edges.

Als nächstes habe ich die Pilze mit Copics coloriert, mit dem Clear Wink of Stella ein klitzekleines bisschen zum glitzern gebracht und dann das "Viel Glück" gestempelt. Zum Schluss habe ich noch die süßen Kleeblätter Ton in Ton auf die Kartenbasis gestempelt und dann das weiße Papier mittog drauf geklebt. 

I coloured the mushrooms with Copic markers, added some Clear Wink of Stella and also stamped the sentiment. Next I stamped the cute clover in a dark grey ink on my grey card base and added the paper panel on top.

Good Luck Clover # 1

Hallo zusammen!

St. Patricks Day steht vor der Tür und auch wenn es hier ja nicht so groß gefeiert wird, mag ich die Farben und ich liebe Klee. Wer von euch hat kein breites Grinsen auf dem Gesicht, wenn er ein 4-blättriges Kleeblatt findet?! Also ich seh dann ganz sicher aus wie ein Honigkuchenpferd ;o)

St. Patricks Day is right around the corner and though it is not celebrated a whole lot over here I really like the colours and I love clover! Who doesn't have a wide smile on their face when they find a four-leafed clover?! I certainly know that I do!!!

Diese Karte wurde inspiriert durch Emma Williams und ist wirklich einfach zu machen. Ihr braucht acht ausgestanzte Herzen (ich habe sie aus dem "Wasabigrün" von Stampin Up ausgestanzt). Vier davon arrangiert ihr auf eurer Karte so, dass es aussieht wie ein Kleeblatt. Die klebt ihr dann auf die (embosste) Karte. Danach faltet ihr die übriggebliebenen Herzen in der Mitte und klebt sie über die anderen. Achtet dabei darauf, die Klebe nur auf die Faltkante zu geben. Ich habe dazu Glossy Accents benutzt und erst zwei gegenüberliegende Blätter aufgeklebt und die anderen beiden erst dazugeklebt, nachdem die ersten vollkommen getrocknet waren. Zeichnet dann einfach noch einen Stiel und schon ist das Kleeblatt fertig. Die Mitte habe ich dann noch mit einem grünen und einem hellbraunen Marker bemalt, so dass es ein wenig realistischer aussieht. Ich habe dann noch den Spruch "good luck" gestempelt und mit gelbem Designerpapier hinterlegt. Aus dem gleichen Papier habe ich dann noch den Schmetterling ausgestanzt, weil ich das Gelb noch einmal auf der Karte auftauchen lassen wollte. 

Today's card was inspired by Emma Williams and is really easy to make. You need to punch eight hearts out of green cardstock (I used Wild Wasabi from Stampin Up), arrange four of them on your card looking like clover and glue them down. Next you fold the remaining four hearts in half and glue them on top. Just be careful to put your glue only to the folded edge. I used Glossy Accents and let two of them dry completely and then added the next two later on. Draw a stem with a matching green marker and your clover is done. I coloured the middle area of the clover with some green and light brown markers to make it seem more realistic. I added the sentiment "good luck" and matted it on yellow designer paper which I also used to punch out the little butterfly. I felt like the card needed a little bit more and found the butterfly to be the perfect addition.
