Hey chick


Hello everyone,
today I am back with a new card for PINspirational Challenges. When I think of spring I think of flowers, bunnies and chicks and decided to use the latter for my card ;o) This is our inspiration picture for you for the coming fortnight:


I loved colouring the cute images by Purple Onion Designs and creating this scene. The background was created quickly using watercolour markers in two shades of each colour. I added a few dots using the colour I had used for the roof of the hen house to create the illusion of flowers in the grass. For the scene panel I chose to go with a cross-stitch edge and also added a yellow panel to pull it all together. You are the coolest - Icecream


Hallo meine lieben Bastelfreunde ;o)
Heute mal eine nicht-niedliche Karte von mir... Ich habe sie für die aktuelle PINspirational Challenge gewerkelt und denke, dass sie sich ganz gut als Männerkarte eignen würde. Was meint ihr? Das hier ist übrigens das neue Inspirationsbild, sieht lecker aus, oder?

Today I'd like to share a non-cute card with you... I made them for the newest PINspirational challenge and thought it would make a good male card. What do you think? Anyways, this is the inspiration picture, looks yummy, doesn't it?


Als erstes habe ich die Stanzen grob mit einem Bleistift umkreist und anschließend die Flächen mit Wasserfarben  angemalt, wobei ich immer unten links die meiste Farbe aufgetragen habe. Auf die Weise hab ich schnell und einfach den Schatteneffekt bekommen und mit der Wasserfarbe außerdem viel Textur. Zusätzlich habe ich noch einen Kreis mit Wellenrand aus Glitzercardstock ausgestanzt.

I started by tracing around the ice cream dies and colouring each area with watercolours, making sure to put more colour down towards the bottom left of each piece. That way I got a really quick and easy shading and also a lot of texture. I also die cut a scalloped circle from a very glittery cardstock.


Nachdem ich alles aufgeklebt hatte, habe ich den Spruch in zwei Schritten dazu gestempelt. Als erstes habe ich nur das Wort "coolest" in blau gestempelt - das führt dazu, dass das Auge von dem blauen Eis zu dem Schriftzug geleitet wird - und im zweiten Schritt habe ich dann den Rest in schwar gestempelt. Wenn ich an Eis denke, dann kommen mir auch immer direkt Streusel in den Kopf, aber ich wollte den Stanzteilen nichts mehr hinzufügen, weil sie mir so wirklich gut gefallen, also habe ich die Streusel einfach als Punkte auf der ganzen restlichen Karte verteilt. Once I had adhered everything down I added the stampin in two steps. First I only stamped the word "coolest" in blue - that drags the eye from the blue ice cream across to the sentiment I think - and then added the rest in black. When I think of ice cream I also think of sprinkles, but I didn't want to add them to the die cuts, so I added them around the circle using all kinds of enamel, glitter and dew drops ;o) Our kind sponsors for this challenge are "Lemon Shortbread" and "Imagine That", so you'll have two chances to win! That Bites!

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!
Wie versprochen geht es zügig weiter mit den neuen Karten. Diese hier ist als DT-Karte für die aktuelle Cards und More Challenge zum Thema "Under the Sea" entstanden:

Like I promised there will be a lot more going on here and so here is another new card as my DT creation for the current "Under the Sea" challenge at the Cards und More blog:


Ich habe die Fensterstanze ("Triple Peek-a-Boo Windows") von MFT benutzt, um meine bissigen Kerlchen in Szene zu setzen. Dazu habe ich sie einmal aus einem schönes Rechteck und einmal aus Schmierpapier ausgestanzt. Letzteres habe ich als Maske benutzt, um die Blautöne auf die Kartenbasis zu wischen. Ich wollte unbedingt, dass der Leuchtefisch in ganz dunkelblauem Wasser schwimmt und habe mich daher für einen Ombre-Look entschieden, bei dem es nach oben hin immer heller und karibischer wurde ;o)

I used the "Triple Peek-a-Boo Windows" from MFT to set my scene. I die cut them once out of a nice stitched rectangle and another time from some scratch paper I had on my desk. That way I could use the windows in the scratch paper as masks to add some colour to the card base. I went for an ombre look, because I wanted that fish with the "lamp" on its nose to swim through very dark water and the water to gradually get lighter towards the top. 



Bevor ich das Rechteck mit den Fenstern mit Abstandshaltern aufkleben konnte, musste ich noch schnell den Spruch und ein paar Wasserbläschen stempeln. Als nächstes habe ich die Fische auf Aquarelpapier gestempelt und mit Zigs ausgemalt. Nachdem sie alle auf dem Trockenen lagen ;o)  habe ich sie ebenfalls mit Foam Tape in die Öffnungen hineingeklebt. Dabei habe ich die unteren beiden Meeresbewohner ein wenig über den Rand der Fenster hinausragen lassen, um das Ganze Design etwas aufzulockern. Damit war meine Karte auch schon fertig ;o) Vielleicht habt ihr ja auch Lust bekommen ein "Unter Wasser"-Werk zu zaubern und es dann auf dem Cards und More Blog zu verlinken! Before I adhered the window panel to the card base with some foam tape I stamped the sentiment and also added some water bubbles. Next I stamped and coloured the fish using Zig markers. After they had all dried completely I glued them into the windows using foam again and my card was done. Eule und Brad-Mushrooms ;o)

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!
Ich hoffe, das Wetter bei euch ist gerade genau so fantastisch, wie es bei uns ist. Den kostbaren Brückentag habe ich zwar überwiegend zum Frühjahrsputz genutzt, aber es blieb auch noch ein wenig Zeit, um eine Karte für die neue CUYL-Challenge zu werkeln. Dabei geht es dieses Mal um "Brads" - also diese Musterklammerdinger ;o) Fürs Scrapbooking habe ich mir mal welche in Pilzform besorgt, die sich aber auch ganz hervorragend auf einer Karte machen, wie ich finde:

I hope you had good weather over the last couple of days and had the time to make good use of it as well ;o) I had a day off yesterday and although I have done a lot of spring-cleaning I also had the time to create a card for the newest CUYL challenge. It is all about "Brads" this time ;o) A couple of years back I bought some mushroom brads for srapbooking. They look great on cards as well I discovered by playing with them ;o) What do you think?


Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Inks selbst gepinselt und nach dem Trocknen habe ich diesen wunderschönen Spruch gestempelt. Zum Glück habe ich das Misti benutzt, denn auf dem Aquarellpapier war der Abdruck erst nach dem vierten Abstempeln einigermaßen schwarz. Ich denke, auf glattem Papier wäre das Abstempeln weniger problematisch gewesen, aber ich lass es euch wissen, sobald ich es ausprobiert habe ;o)

I created the background with Distress Inks and stamped this beautiful sentiment after the paper was completely dry again. Luckily I thought of using the Misti, because on this watercolour paper it took me four attempts to get the stamped image right. I am sure that it would be a lot easier on smooth paper, but I will let you know :o)


Den Spruch, den ich unter den Baumstamm gestempelt habe, habe ich auch benutzt, um die Kartenbasis ein wenig interessanter zu gestalten. Dazu habe ich die Karte in einem Winkel auf kariertes Papier gelegt und mit Washi-Tape befestigt. So habe ich die Reihen gerade stempeln können, was sonst nicht so mein Talent ist ;o) Danach habe ich die Elemente nur noch dort hingeklebt bzw. festgeklemmt, wo sie für mich am schönsten aussahen.  Vielleicht habt ihr ja Lust bekommen durch eure Brads zu schauen und ein paar davon (oder auch nur eins) in ein Projekt zu integrieren und dieses dann auf dem CUYL Blog einzustellen...?! I used the same sentiment I had stamped beneath the log to create a more interesting card base. In order to stamp the greeting evenly (you could say that that usually isn't my special talent) I placed the card base on a graph paper, adhered it temporarily with some Washi Tape and used the lines as orientation. Now all I had to do was to put everything where I thought it looked best and my card was done. I hope I could inspire you a little bit and maybe you find some brads to create a project with. Ostergeschenke mit Timo und Jens

Hallo ihr Lieben!
Schnell möchte ich euch noch die Ostergeschenke zeigen, die am Sonntag bei uns gesucht und gefunden werden wollen:

Ich habe die Originalbanderole der Löffeleier als Schablone benutzt und sie aus grünem Cardstock ausgeschnitten und an den entsprechenden Stellen gefalzt. Leider muss ich sagen, dass ich von dem Cardstock (immerhin von Stampin Up) überhaupt nicht begeistert bin. Nach normalem Falzen ist er mir bereits gerissen, so dass ich jede Falzung von hinten mit einem Streifen Tesafilm verstärken musste. Ist euch so etwas auch schon passiert? Bisher hatte ich eigentlich eher gute Erfahrungen mit dem SU Papier gemacht... Seltsam. Nun ja, aber zum Glück hält es jetzt und Timo und Jens haben einen recht stabilen Platz auf den Eierkartons gefunden ;o) Ich hoffe, die Verpackungen gefallen euch und ihr habt eine schöne Woche!!!

I used to original packing from the egg carton which usually holds some chocolate sweets as a guide, hand cut it out and scored it in the same places as in the original packaging. Unfortunately I have to say I am not in the least impressed with the cardstock this time, which is from Stampin Up if you believe it or not. I had to reinforce all the folds with cling film from the back, so that it wouldn't fall apart. Have you had any experience with this? In the past I have not had any problems with it though... Weird. Well, fortunately Timo and Jens have found a now secure and safe home on the egg carton ;o) I hope you like the packaging and that you have a fantastic week!!!

Monochromatic (-ish) Easter card

 
Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!
Es geht mit großen Schritten auf Ostern zu und das Team von den PINspirational Challenges möchte euch noch ein paar letzte Inspirationen mit auf den Weg geben ;o) Ich habe passend zum Bild eine recht monochromatische Karte gebastelt:

Hello everyone! 
Easter is just around the corner so we, the members of the PINspirational challenge, would like to provide some last minute inspiration for you ;o) Inspired by the picture I created a rather monochromatic looking Easter card:


Für die Karte habe ich aus drei verschiedenen Sets Ostereier herausgesucht, aber ich denke, das Design würde auch gut funktionieren mit zwei oder drei verschiedenen Stempeleiern ;o) Zumal man sie ja auch noch selbst bemustern könnte ;o) Mit einem Washitape habe ich den Rand des Papiers geschützt, die Eier aufgestempelt und anschließend die Zwischenräume coloriert. Da ich keine Farbe finden konnte, die ich wirklich dafür mochte, habe ich Ground Espresso Distress Ink stark verwässert und dann noch einen Tropfen Spun Sugar dazugegeben.

I used egg images from at least three different sets, but I think the design would also work if one would use two or three different images. As I had so many, I thought I'd go ahead and use them though ;o) I put washi tape around the panel, before I stamped the eggs and left it on for the part where I was colouring the background. I couldn't find a colour I really liked for the background, so I mixed one together using (well watered down) Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a drop of Spun Sugar.


Als der Hintergrund getrocknet war, habe ich das Papier auf die Kartenbasis aufgeklebt und die Eier alle mit dem Wink of Stella zum Glittern gebracht. Wie immer, ist das viel besser in Natura zu erkennen, als auf dem Foto... Als nächstes habe ich den Spruch so auf den rosa Papierstreifen gestempelt, dass das Häschen gut dazwischen passte und diesen mit Abstandshaltern aufgeklebt. Damit unser Meister Lampe auf gleicher Höhe gemütlich und ohne Verrenkungen sitzen konnte, habe ich ihn mit dem Körper direkt aufgeklebt und nur den Kopf und die Ohren von hinten mit Foamtape gestützt. Nachdem ich noch einmal die Rechteckform ausgestanzt und auf die Innenseite der Karte geklebt hatte, war sie fertig.

Once the background had dried completely I glued the panel to the card base and covered every egg with Clear Wink of Stella to make them all sparkle. Next I added the strip with the sentiment with foam tape to the card and placed the bunny in between the words. (Frohes Eiersuchen translates to something like Happy Egghunting I'd say, just in case you wondered :o)) I glued the body part of the bunny directly to the strip of pink paper and only added foam tape to its head and ears. After adhering a scalloped rectangle such as the one I had used for the outside on the inside of the card to have a crisp white place to write on, my card was done.

Hooray!!!

Hallo meine Lieben!
Heute möchte ich noch mit euch - leider etwas verspätet - meine Karte für die aktuelle Challenge bei CUYL mit euch teilen. Das Thema lautet dieses Mal "Chevron":

Heya my dear crafty friends!
Today I would like to share with you - unfortunately a little belatedly - my card for the new challenge at CUYL. The theme this time is "Chevron" :



Es ist eine Karte für die Lehramtsanwärterin an meiner Schule, die vor Kurzem sehr erfolgreich ihr zweites Staatsexamen bestanden hat. Das Chevron-Papier habe ich sowohl für den unteren Teil der Karte, als auch für das Banner benutzt. Letzteres habe ich mit Copics noch ein wenig nachschattiert, damit es nicht zu flach im Vergleich mit den süßen Tieren aussieht.

This card was made for the teacher in training at our school who aced her final exam a while ago. I used chevron patterned paper for the bottom part of my card as well as for the banner. For the latter I used Copics to give it a bit more dimension.


Zum Colorieren habe ich Winsor & Newton Wasserfarben benutzt, die weniger deckend sind als zum Beispiel Gansai Tambis und zudem noch sehr gut mit Wasser reagieren - so habe ich die Wolken für den Hintergrund "gemalt". Ich hoffe, euch gefällt die Karte und vielleicht habt ihr ja auch noch Chevron Papier zu Hause im Regal oder gestaltet euer eigenes Muster und teilt euer Werk dann auf Challenge Up Your Life ;o) Habt eine tolle Restwoche und happy crafting ;o)

The colouring medium I used for the rest of the card are Winsor & Newton watercolours. They are less opaque than Gansai Tambi watercolours and they react really well with water - that is how I created the clouds in the background. I hope you like the card and maybe you'll find some chevron paper and show us your card with it. (Or you create your own pattern?!) Happy crafting, everyone ;o)

Kroküsse

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!
Für eine "besondere Frau" lautet das Thema bei den Crafty Cardmakers für die kommenden zwei Wochen. Ich habe dabei an eine Freundin gedacht, der es zur Zeit nicht so gut geht und der ich eine kleine Aufmunterung zusenden möchte:

"For a special woman" is the theme of the new challenge over at the Crafty Cardmakers. When I learned of the theme I thought of a friend who is going through a rough time and I thought I could maybe make her smile with my card:


Zum Colorieren habe ich die Twinkling H²Os und außerdem die sogenannte "Nass in nass - Technik" verwendet. Bei dieser Technik malt man zuerst eine Fläche mit klarem Wasser aus und gibt dann eine Farbe von der einen und eine zweite von der anderen Seite in das Wasser. Auf diese Weise bekommt man einen wirklich schönen Farbübergang zwischen den beiden Farben hin ;o)

I used Twinkling H²Os to colour in the crocuses and also used a technique that I know as the "wet in wet -technique". First you "colour" one area (in this case petal) with plain water and then you add one colour from the bottom and one from the top, that way you get a really great transition between the colours ;o)


Den Hintergrund habe ich mit einer Mischung aus Mawed Lawn und Twisted Citron Distress Inks und viel Wasser auf das Papier gemalt. Sowohl als es noch nass war, als auch im trockenen Zustand, habe ich ein paar Kleckse in den Farben der Krokusse aufgesprenkelt und damit war meine Karte so gut wie fertig. Es fehlte nur noch der süße Spruch und das Zusammenbauen ;o) Ich hoffe, euch gefällt die Karte und auch ihr genießt bereits die ersten Frühlingstage!!!

I created the background using a mixture of Mawed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks and a lot of water. I added droplets of colour to it while it was wet and after it had dried using the same colours I had used for the crocuses. Now all I had to do was to die cut the background panel to give it a nice shape and to glue the flowers to the front. I hope you like my card and that you get to enjoy the first days of spring ;o)

2 peas in a pod

Hallo ihr Lieben!
Ich hoffe, es geht euch allen gut und ihr hattet / habt ein tolles Karnevalswochenende! Gerade eben bin ich aus London zurückgekehrt und habe festgestellt, dass ich noch gar nicht den Post für die neue Crafty Cardmakers Challenge geschrieben hatte... Das Thema lautet "Go Green" und grün ist die Karte nun wirklich geworden ;o)

I hope you are all doing great and that you had a wonderful weekend. I certainly did, visiting a friend of mine in London. When we came home just a few minutes ago I realized I hadn't written the post for our current Crafty Cardmakers challenge yet.... Well, the theme is "Go Green" and my card definately is green ;o)


Den Wasserfarbhintergrund habe ich mit Twisted Citron Distress Ink gemacht und die Erbsen habe ich mit Zig Markern coloriert. Um alles optisch miteinander zu verbinden habe ich außerdem noch eine Lage grünes Papier als "Matte" zwischen die Kartenbasis und das Aquarellpapier geklebt.

I created this watercolour background using Twisted Citron Distress Ink and coloured the image of the peas with Zig markers. I added a layer of green paper beneath the watercolour paper so that everything would be tied in together.

Bling it on - Stamping with Finetec Watercolours

Hallo zusammen!
Die neue Challenge bei den Crafty Cardmakers lautet "Bling it on" und hat mich anfangs vor eine echte Herausforderung gestellt, da ich ja normalerweise nicht so für "Bling" auf meinen Karten bin. Dann kam mir aber folgende Idee:

The new theme for the Crafty Cardmakers challenge is "Bling it on" and that really provided a challenge for me, as I usually do not have a lot of "bling" on my cards. Then I came up with this idea:


In meiner Sammlung habe ich das Set "Happy Wedding" von Lawn Fawn und sie haben diesen klasse Diamantring darin, der super zu meiner Idee passte. Den habe ich gestempelt und ausgestanzt und anschließend habe ich den Diamantteil großzügig mit Diamond Stickles bedeckt, bevor ich ihn weit weg zum Trocknen in ein Regal gelegt habe. (Sonst passiert es schon mal, dass kurz danach irgendwelche Kleinteile in der Klebe stecken. Also muss ich die Sachen immer weit weg legen.) Da ich den Ring ja gold coloriert habe, wollte ich auch noch einen goldenen Hintergrund, aber das einzig goldene Stempelkissen das ich habe, gibt nicht ganz so viel Schimmer her und außerdem mag ich die Farbe nicht ganz so sehr. Allerdings liebe ich die Goldtöne der "Finetec Perlglanzfarben". Als sie mir einfielen, habe ich mich gefragt, ob man damit wohl auch stempeln kann und ja, es klappt. Allerdings sollte man ein paar Kleinigkeiten dabei beachten: Man muss zügig arbeiten, das Misti ist eine große Hilfe wenn man wirklich flächig stempeln möchte und ein Mini Mister in der Nähe ist auch eine gute Sache, um den Stempel noch einmal kurz vor dem Abdruck leicht einnebeln zu können. Ich weiß, dass mein Hintergrund nicht perfekt gestempelt ist, aber ich fand den Look für diese Karte ganz passend.

I own the set "Happy Wedding" from Lawn Fawn and they included this fun diamond ring in there, which I though would be perfect for my project. I stamped and die cut it and then coated the diamond part generously with Diamond Stickles before setting it aside to dry. And then I wanted to have a sparkling golden background as well, but the only gold ink pad I own doesn't give a lot of shimmer and also I am not the biggest fan of the colour. However I love the "Finetec Pearl Colors". I wondered if I could stamp with it and so I started experimenting. Let me tell you: It works ;o) A few tips should you decide to give it a try as well: You need to work quickly, a Misti is definately a big help, especially when you want to stamp a solid image and also have a Mini Mister ready and give your stamp a light spritz before stamping it. I know my background stamping is far from perfect on this card, but I liked the look of it. 


Insgesamt habe ich den Ring 4x ausgestanzt und übereinander geklebt, damit es so ausschaut, als könnte man ihn tatsächlich von der Karte nehmen und anziehen. Den Kartenspruch habe ich direkt auf einen der Goldstreifen gestempelt und auch hier war das Misti wieder sehr sinnvoll. Der erste Abdruck war nämlich durch den rauen Untergrund nicht besonders geworden. Zum Schluss habe ich noch die "Glitzerstrahlen" um den Ring gestempelt und die Ecken abgerundet. Ich hoffe, ihr zeigt uns eure "Bling it on"-Werke bei den Crafty Cardmakers.


All in all I die cut the ring four times and glued the individual pieces together, so that it now looks like you could pick up the ring from the card and wear it. The sentiment was stamped directly on to one of the golden stripes and the help from the Misti was once again very welcome as the first impression wasn't all that great because of the rough surface. At the end I added the "bling rays" around the diamond and also rounded all four edges of the card with my Corner Chomper. Tickled Pink for you

 
Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!
Heute habe ich meine neuste Inspirationskarte für den Challenge Up Your Life Blog für euch. Heute startet dort nämlich eine neue Challenge und dieses Mal möchten wir euch mit diesen wunderschönen Farben zum Kreativ sein inspirieren:

Heya my dear crafty friends!
Today I'd like to share with you my newest inspiration for the Challenge Up Your Life blog. Today starts a new challenge and this time we would like to inspire you with these gorgeous colours:


Für die Karte habe ich den Hintergrund mit Hilfe von drei ganz stark verwässerten Distress Inks (Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers and Walnut Stain), die ich mit einem Pinsel auf das Aquarellpapier gebracht habe, selber gestaltet. Nachdem das Papier getrocknet war, habe ich es zurechtgeschnitten, das Fenster ausgestanzt und den Spruch dann genau darunter gestempelt.

For my card I created a background by watering down three shades of Distress Inks (Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers and Walnut Stain) a lot and then using a brush to paint the stripes on my piece of watercolour paper.  After it had dried I cut it to size, die cut a wonky window from it and stamped the greeting below it.


Als nächstes habe ich den süßen Hasen und seinen Freund, den Teddybären, mit Zigs ausgemalt und auch noch einen ganz schlichten Hintergrund für die beiden gestaltet. Der Fokus sollte auf den beiden Freunden liegen und nicht auf irgendwas Unruhigem aus dem Hintergrund. Hoffe, ihr wisst, was ich meine...

Next I stamped and coloured the cute bunny and its friend the teddybear using Zig markers and also created a very simply background to go behind the window. I wanted the focus to stay on the critters themselves and not anything from behind them if that makes sense...


Die beiden Viecherchen habe ich ausgeschnitten und dann alles an Ort und Stelle geklebt. Die gestrichelte Linie habe ich später noch zugefügt, damit sie zu der Prägung rund um das Fenster passt. Damit war die Karte fertig. Ich hoffe, ihr habt nun auch Lust bei unserer Challenge mitzuspielen! Ich freu mich schon auf eure wunderbaren Werke. Happy crafting,

After fussy cutting the critters I glued everything in place and added a dash line around the striped piece, so that it would match the stitches around the window and called my card done. I hope you are going to play along with us! Looking forward to your beautiful creations! Happy crafting,

An Astronaut saying "Hi" ;o)

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!
Für die Cards und More Challenge sollten es dieses Mal "Männerkarten" sein. Zu gewinnen gibt es 2 Digis von unserem Sponsor Dr. Digi's. Mein Astronaut hat es mir aber ziemlich leicht gemacht, weil ich ihn ins All setzen konnte, was heißt, ein blau-grün-dunkellila Hintergrund war gefragt und ich konnte den Anzug in entsprechenden Farben colorieren:

Luckily the image of the austranaut helped me quite a lot with this challenge, because I could place him in outer space (which is mostly blue and a bit green and dark purple...) and I could colour his spacesuit any way I wanted:


Als erstes habe ich den Hintergrund mit den Gansai Tambi Wasserfarben von Kuretake gemalt. Nachdem dieser getrocknet war, hab ich dann noch ein paar (viele) Spitzer in gold und silber darübergesetzt. Dazu habe ich die Farben von dem Finetec Mica Gold Set benutzt und ich bin absolut begeistert darüber, wie sehr sie leuchten und wie klasse sie sich von dem dunklen Hintergrund abheben!!!

I started by colouring the background, using the Gansai Tambi watercolours by Kuretake. After that was dry I flicked some gold and silver paint over it. I have used paint from the Finetec Mica Gold palette and let me tell you, the way this paint looks on dark backgrounds is just amazing!!! 


Als nächstes habe ich den Astronauten mit Copics coloriert und den Spruch "Hi" auf seine Flagge gestempelt. Da die Schrift auf dem dunkleren Hintergrund leider etwas verloren ging, habe ich sie mit einem weißen Gelstift umrandet und außerdem noch ein paar Punkte hinzugefügt. Als Kartenbasis habe ich ein graues Papier ausgewählt und das Rechteck aus Aquarellpapier direkt darauf geklebt. Im Nachhinein wünschte ich, ich hätte einen stärkeren Kleber gewählt, weil sich die Ecken doch ein wenig lösen. Den Astronauten habe ich dann zum Schluss noch mit Abstandshaltern aufgeklebt und Enamel Dots in weiß und hellblau um ihn herumgeklebt.

Next I coloured the astronaut using Copic markers and stamped a greeting on his flag. Because it got lost on the coloured background I outlined it with a white gel pen and also added lots of tiny dots on there as well, to give it more interest. I chose a grey paper as my card base and adhered the watercolour piece directly on top. I wished I had used a stronger adhesive, because the edges lift up a tiny bit. I put the astronaut on top using foam tape and placed five enalem dots around him.

Kroküsse für den Muttertag

 

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!
Heute habe ich noch einen zweiten Post für euch. Auf dem PINspirational Blog startet heute eine Challenge zum Thema "Muttertag", allerdings könnt ihr euch natürlich wie immer auch von den Farben oder Elementen des Inspirationsbildes inspirieren lassen:

Today I have two posts to share with you. At the PINspirational Blog starts a new challenge today. The picture can inspire you in different ways: theme (Mother's Day), colours or elements:



Für meine Karte habe ich ein paar Kroküsse aufgestempelt und dafür die Masking Technik benutzt, damit es wirklich nach einer kleinen Ansammlung dieser hübschen Frühlingsboten ausschaut. Coloriert habe ich dieses Mal mit den Zig Real Brush Stiften. Ich liebe die leuchtenden Farben von den Zigs, hab aber immer noch Schwierigkeiten im Umgang mit ihnen... Zum Glück ist meine liebe Bastelfreundin Birka ein Naturtalent und sie macht außerdem Videos zu allen möglichen Themen. Nachdem sie letztens ein sehr ausführliches Video zum Thema Zigs veröffentlicht hat, hab ich mich auch noch einmal dran getraut und liebe den Effekt.

For my card I stamped a few crocuses using the masking technique and coloured them in using ZIG Real Brush markers. I love their vibrant colours combined with the watercoloured look, but I still have trouble using them. Fortunately my friend Birka is very talented with them and because she makes great videos for all kind of helpful things, I felt I could give my Zigs another try and love how it turned out.


Die Blumen habe ich nach dem Trocknen einfach mit dieser genialen ovalen Stanze ausgestanzt und mit Abstandshaltern auf ein embosstes weißes Papier geklebt. Dann habe ich das Stück Papier mit dem Wort "Mama" dazu geklebt und noch einige Enamel Dots um die Blumen drum herum verteilt und meine Karte war fertig. Hoffe, sie gefällt euch auch so sehr wie mir ;o) Habt einen wundervollen Tag ;o)

I simply die cut the flowers with this great oval shape and mounted it on a pice of embossed card stock. I added the paper strip with the word "Mama" and also scattered some enamel dots around the flowers and my card was done. Hope you like it as much as I do ;o) Have a great day everyone ;o)

Christmas Series card # 23 / Weihnachtsserie Karte # 23 (Last Minute Christmas Card)

Hallöchen ihr Lieben!
Nun geht es wirklich mit Riesenschritten auf Weihnachten zu, daher habe ich heute eine Karte für euch gemacht, die man ganz schnell machen kann.

Christmas is just around the corner now and that is why I chose to make a very quick card for today's post.


Für die roten und grünen Streifen habe ich mal wieder mein Gansai Tambi Wasserfarbenset herausgeholt. Mit dem Pinsel habe ich dann einfach unterschiedlich breite Streifen auf das Aquarellpapier gezogen. Nachdem alles trocken war, habe ich eine Stanze von WPlus9 benutzt, um es auszuschneiden und habe die gleiche Form auch noch zwei Mal aus weißem Cardstock ausgestanzt. (2 Stücke deshalb, damit es ein bisschen hübscher ausschaut und es stabiler wird.) Die Rechtecke habe ich Rücken an Rücken zusammengeklebt und  bei ca. einem 3/4 Inch gefalzt und hinter das rot-grüne Papier geklebt, so dass sich die Karte auch gut öffnen lässt. Achtung: Den Kleber nur auf den schmalen Streifen zwischen oberem Rand und Falzung auftragen, sonst lässt sich die Karte nicht öffnen ;o)

I used the Gansai Tambi watercolour set and drew the red and green stripes on a piece of watercolour paper in various widths. After it had dried I used the scalloped die to cut it out and also cut the same shape  twice from some plain white paper als well, because I wanted to create a quick shaped card. I glued both pieces back to back (so that the card would be more sturdy and would look more finished with only the pretty sides showing), before I scored them at about 3/4" and glued it to the back of my watercolour panel. 


Als nächstes habe ich die Weihnachtsbäume gestempelt und mit der passenden Handstanzte ausgeschnitten. Auf den zweiten und dritten Streifen habe ich zum Schluss noch den Kartenspruch gestempelt und weiß embossed und die Bäume auf die Karte geklebt.

Next I stamped the Christmas trees and punched them out using the coordinating punch from Stampin Up. I added an embossed sentiment to the second and third strip from the top and also a garland to one of the trees. All that was left to do now was to adhere the trees to the card.
