Holiday time and a gull saying hi

Hello everyone ;o)

I hope you are all doing great and enjoying the summer so far!  This time we have a wonderful theme for you over at Papercraft Challenges. Or at least I think it is a wonderful theme: "Holiday Time". For me a holiday is perfect, when I cann look at the sea and hear the gulls cry, so this is what I created for my inspiration card:

For my background I used a piece of design paper that I really love. I added a tag made of kraftpaper on which I had put some white ink and blue Distress Ink. I also added some white and brown dots to make it look even more like a beach. Next I coloured and adhered this super cute image by Create a Smile and stamped the sentiment "Moin!" next to it. Moin is a way of saying hello in the northern parts of Germany. There were only some finishing touches needed like the red tag and the tiny sea gulls and the card was done. I hope you like it.

Einen wunderschönen Samstag

wünsche ich euch ;o) Ich weiß nicht, wie es euch geht, aber ich bin total bereit für den Frühling, schöne Blumen, wärmere Temperaturen und wieder mehr Farben um mich herum. ;o) Die aktuelle "Anhänger / Tags" Challenge bei Challenge Up Your Life habe ich direkt einmal genutzt und viele, leuchtende Farben benutzt:

I don't know about you, but I am totally ready for spring, flowers, warmer temperatures and more colour around me again;o) The currents "Tags" challenge at Challenge Up Your Life gave me the perfect opportunity to use loads of bright, beautiful colours:

Zuerst habe ich die Tags ausgestanzt und mit Distress Inks in den Farben Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron mit einem ganz klein bisschen Mowed Lawn am Boden, Salty Ocean und Wilted Violet den unteren Teil eingefärbt. Die kleinen Pinguine habe ich anschließend coloriert und auf die Tags geklebt.

I started with die cutting the tags and colouring them with Distress Inks in Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron with just a tiny bit of Mowed Lawn at the bottom, Salty Ocean und Wilted Violet. Next I coloured the little penguins and glued them directly to the tags.

Die Kartenbasis war mir nur in weiß ein wenig zu langweilig, also habe ich mit einer Schablone in ganz dezentem Hellgrau ein Muster aufgetupft und freihand einen Rahmen um die Karte gezogen. Für den Kartenspruch habe ich das "Happy, Happy, Happy..." auf das blaue Tag gestempelt und den Gruß unter den Anhängern zu Ende geführt. Damit war meine Karte fertig und ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr jetzt auch eure Tag-Stanzen herauskramen und daraus eine Karte, ein Layout oder sonst nicht was basteln würdet ;o) Habt ein tolles Wochenende und vielen Dank fürs Vorbauschauen auf meinem Blog! The card base looked a bit plain just in white, so I decided to add a subtle pattern to it using "Fog" Ink by Simon Says and a Stencil by Tim Holtz. I also added a frame around the card by hand. For my sentiment I had decided to start it on the blue tag and let it continue below the row of tags. That was my card done and I would be so happy if I could inspire you to get out your tag dies or stamps as well and create a project and link it to our gallery ;o) Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for visiting my blog! Christmas Series # 2 / Weihnachtsserie # 2 (Snowangel Tags / Schneeengel Anhänger)

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!

Am zweiten Tag meiner Weihnachtsserie möchte ich euch drei Tags zeigen, die ich mit dem Snow Angel Set von Gerda Steiner Designs gebastelt habe. Die Motive sind einfach zu süß und lassen sich schnell colorieren, also dachte ich, sie würden sich super gut als Geschenkanhänger machen. Ich bin ehrlich, ich liebe Geschenkanhänger, aber sie landen noch eher als Karten unbedacht im Müll und da möchte ich nicht Stunden in eine aufwändige Coloration stecken, aber trotzdem ein gutes Ergebnis haben. Dazu eignen sich diese niedlichen Weihnachtsmotive sogar sehr gut, finde ich. Natürlich eignen sie sich auch wunderbar für Karten, aber das zeige ich euch einfach in einem zukünftigen Post ;o)

On the second day of my Christmas series I would like to share with you these three tags which I have made using stamps from the new "Snow Angel" set by Gerda Steiner Designs. The images are really cute, but they are also easy to colour, so I thought they would make perfect gift tags. I do love gift tags, but they find - even quicker and more often than cards - their way into the trash and so I don't want to spend hours on colouring, yet get a nice result. I think, these images are just perfect for tags, though they do look great on cards, too. (But I will show you that in a future post.) :o)
 

Ich habe die süßen Schneeengel und den Spruch gestempelt und dann jeweils mit der Tag-Stanze ausgestanzt. Anschließend habe ich für jeden der drei Anhänger einen roten und sechs weiße Rahmen ausgestanzt, um genug Höhe für den Shakerteil zu bekommen. Für das Plastikteil habe ich noch einmal die gleiche Stanze benutzt, wie für die Motive, damit der Schlitz für das Band an der richtigen Stelle ist und ich nichts mehr zurecht schneiden musste.

I stamped the three cute snow angels along with the sentiment (Merry Christmas) and die cut them each with a tag die. Next I cut one red and six white frames for each tag, to give the shaker part enough height, so that the filling can move. I used the same die that I had used for the image for the plastic piece as well, so that I wouldn't have to cut it to size with my scissors and also so that the slit for the ribbon would be at the right place.

  

Ich habe ein paar klare Kügelchen und supersüße hellblaue Sternchen (die ich von der lieben Nina auf dem Stempelmekka bekommen habe) eingefüllt und schnell alles zusammengeklebt. Dann musste ich nur noch das Band oben durch den Schlitz durchgefädelt werden und fertig waren die Tags. Ich persönlich finde immer, dass ein Geschenkanhänger die Verpackung wundervoll abrundet und die Vorfreude noch etwas mehr steigert. Bei uns liegen die Geschenke immer eine Weile unter dem Baum und meine kleine Nichte hat allein schon Spaß dran alle Tags zu bestaunen. Wie sieht es bei euch aus? Habt ihr Tags an euren Geschenken?

I filled some clear beads and uber-sweet tiny blue stars (which I got from the lovely Nina at the Stempelmekka this year) into the shaker area and quickly glued the pieces together. Now all that was left to do was to fiddle the ribbon in place and the tags were done. I personally think that a gift tag adds even more to a nice wrapping and enhances the pleasant anticipation a lot. In our home the Christmas presents are placed beneath the tree a while before it is time to open them and my cute little niece loves looking at all the colourful tags. How about you? Today I am going to share two cards with you, so let's dive right in with number one - my inspiration card for the newest PINspirational challenge:

Vom Inspirationsbild habe ich die Farben der Blumen übernommen, der Hintergrund zeigt die wichtigsten Gebäude aus Paris und auch den Kartenspruch habe ich auf die Stadt der Liebe hin ausgesucht - daher die ganz lieben Grüße ;o)

I got the inspiration for the flowers from the inspiration picture, the background shows the most important buildings of Paris and because it is the "City of Love" I chose a sentiment that had the word "liebe" ("love") in it.

Christmas Series # 15 / Weihnachtsserie #15 (Coordinating tags)

Vielleicht habt ihr es ja auch schon am Titel gemerkt... heute gibt es keine Karte, sondern 3 verschiedene Tags, die ich gewerkelt habe.

Today I would like to show you 3 coordinating tags I made. 

Benutzt habe ich die Stempel von der noch recht neuen "Snowflake Grove" Kollektion von Purple Onion Designs  und die Stanzen von MFT für die Tags an sich. Den Hintergrund habe ich mit einer selbstgeschnibbelten Tannenbaum"schablone" einfach in mehreren Lagen und 2 verschiedenen Grüntönen gewischt und finde den Effekt wirklich genial. Es schaut wirklich so aus, als würden Fawn und Oakley vor in einem Wals umherlaufen ;o)

I have used stamps from the new "Snowflake Grove" collection from Purple Onion Designs for my images and the tags are dies from MFT. For the background I cut out a tree shape free hand (because it looked more natural to my eye) and used different layers and two shades of green to achieve this look which I love. It really looks like Fawn and Oakley are walking around in a forest ;o)

Die Farben habe ich so gewählt, dass jede auf jedem Tag irgendwo auftaucht - so dass die 3 Schildchen eine Einheit bilden. Am 24. Dezember werden sie dann an den 3 Geschenken für ein liebes Familienmitglied hängen und hoffentlich zur Freude beitragen.

For the tags I chose three main colours (red, green and blue) which I used on each tag, so they would go together nicely. On December 24th I will put them on the three gifts for a lovely family member and hope to make them smile with those sweet images as well as with the presents ;o))
