Happy Halloween (cat and dog)

Hello everyone ;o)
this is a sad post to write, even though I really like this card and am quite happy how it turned out. The sad part is that this will be the very last challenge at the Crafty Cardmakers. Our wonderful Lin from the "Twisted Witch" blog has good reasons to step down from coordinating the team and the challenge. However I am really heartbroken that the challenge won't continue. I have met so many lovely and fabulous people and talented crafters through the challenge. I am grateful for having been a part of this team for as long as it lasted and I wish each and everyone just the best of luck, good health and happiness! 
But now onto today's card. This is my inspiration for you for our "Things That Go Bump In The Night" challenge:

I started with the background and used different Distress Inks to create a lighter middle and a darker outside and also stamped a cemetary scene on top of the grassy hill. When in the end that still didn't feel dark enough I went around the panel with "Black Soot" and that really made even the darker, duller colours pop. 

Next I stamped and coloured the two fun images by Simon Says stamp. They are from an older set which is new to me though. They are quite big and I also love the sentiment which is from the same set. That one was stamped and embossed before I added the cat and the dog, but after the background had dried for quite some time. I thought, that the top was a little too bare so I added the spider and her net to the upper left corner and that finished off my card. I hope you like it and I also hope that you will help us leaving blogland with a bang by participating in our last challenge!

Christmas in July with Champ (dog)

Hello everyone,

for PINspirational Challenges and the new "Christmas in July"-theme I created this card as an inspiration card:

This is the current photo inspiration on the blog:

So I hope you can see where I got my inspiration from ;o) I used the cute dog image "Champ"  as well as a Christmas tree by Purple Onion Designs and placed both on a Christmas themed cardbase. I added a layer of vellum in between the images and the background because other wise it was too busy and wild for my taste.

Dog Gone Awesome Birthday

Hello there,

thank you for stopping by ;o) Today I would like to share with you the card I made for the newest PINspirational Challenge. This is our current inspration picture:

I do not own a lama stamp, so I thought I would use the striped from the background as inspiration plus use an animal and have it be mainly white. Many of my friend's are dog lovers so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to use this cute puppy which is one of my newest stamps. I gave it a present to give to the recipient and made it a birthday card. I love how the white dog looks against the colourful and bright stripes. What do you think?

Happy Birthday "Picture" card

Hello everyone!

For the new challenge at Papercraft Challenge we ask for "Ribbons" on your card or project. This is my inspiration for the theme:

I had one of these polaroid pictures prepared on my desk and thought it would be great to have the colours of the collar represented on the card with ribbons. 

They help accent the sentiment as well I think. I didn't want the card to be too "empty" so I stencilled some stars on to the card base itself and after adhering the polaroid I also added loads of Nuvo drops to make it even more fun. "Gelb und Grau" ist die neue Vorgabe für Challenge der nächsten zwei Wochen bei Challenge Up Your Life und hier seht ihr meine Inspirationskarte:

 Heya my dear crafty friends!
"Yellow and Grey" is the theme for the new challenge over at Challenge Up Your Life for the coming fortnight. This is my take on the task:

Als ich über die Farbe "Gelb" nachgedacht habe, ist mir dieses Mal sofort Sonnenschein in den Kopf gekommen - wahrscheinlich weil ich seit November kaum welchen gesehen habe.... Also habe ich meine tolle Schablone von Create A Smile rausgesucht und für den Hintergrund meiner Karte ein paar wundervoll sonnengelbe Sonnenstrahlen gewischt. Als nächstes habe ich aus weißem Papier einen Rahmen und zwei "Schnee"-Hügel ausgestanzt und schon einmal auf der Kartenbasis zusammen geklebt.

When I thought about the colour yellow the first thing that came to my mind was sunshine - something we have been missing dearly in Germany for the past three month - so I got out my wonderful stencil by Create A Smile and created the rays for my background piece. Next I die cut the frame and two hills from white cardstock and glued all those pieces together.

Jetzt hatte ich schon einen Hintergrund, der mir gefiel und musste jetzt nur noch ein passendes Element für den Vordergrund finden. Als ich diesen niedlichen Kerl in einem meiner Stempelset entdeckte, war klar, dass er auf die Karte musste. Ich habe ihn mit Memento Tuxedo Black gestempelt, anschließend mit Copics coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Als er seinen Platz auf dem Hügel gefunden hatte, habe ich den Spruch so halb um ihn herum gestempelt. Wie immer war mir meine Karte so noch etwas zu leer, also habe ich die Szene um das "Woof! Woof!" mit gelben Alphabetstickern ergänzt und diese tollen klaren Sternchenpailetten aufgeklebt. Damit war meine Karte fertig ;o) Ich hoffe, sie gefällt euch und ich konnte euch vielleicht sogar inspirieren euch auch an das "Gelb-Grau"-Thema zu wagen. Now I had a lovely background, but I still needed a focal image, so I searched through my supplies and found this adorable dog with its scarf and knew that he would look perfect combined with the scene . I stamped the dog and coloured it wil Copic markers and also stamped the sentiment. And because the card looked much too empty at this point I added the "Woof! Woof!" with alphabet stickers and also these cute clear star sequins. That was my card done ;o) I hope you like my card and that maybe I could inspire you to challenge yourself with our theme. Birthday Card using "Christmas Puppies" / Geburtstagskarte mit den "Christmas Puppies"

Schön, dass ihr hier vorbeischaut. Ganz außer der Reihe möchte ich mal wieder eine Nicht-Weihnachtskarte mit euch teilen ;o) Der Cards und More Blog feiert die 200. Challenge passend mit dem Thema "Geburtstag". Hier ist meine Karte:

Lovely to see you here ;o) And it is a non-Christmas card for a change, because the Cards und More blog is celebrating the 200th challenge with the new theme "birthday". This is my inspiration card:

Noch passender ist das Ganze, wenn man weiß, dass es einen neuen Start, also quasi einen Geburtstag für einen neuen Challengeblog geben wird. Da der Cards und More Challenge Blog schon seit Langem nichts mehr mit gleichnahmigem Shop zu tun hat, ist dies nun gleichzeitig die erste Herausforderung auf dem neuen Challengeblog namens Papercraft Challenge.

It is a very fitting theme as well, because this challenge will be the first of a new blog. The Cards und More blog was once one that was connected to the Cards und More shop, but not for the last three years. So this will be the first challenge of the new blog called "Papercraft Challenges"

Und nun zu meiner Karte. Ich brauchte noch eine Männergeburtstagskarte, also kam die Challenge gerade recht. Der Hund aus dem Set "Christmas Puppies" von Gerda Steiner Designs eignet sich hervorragend auch für nicht weihnachtliche Karten. Passend zum Thema der Tüte, in der er sitzt habe ich auf meiner Karte ein paar Sterne verteilt und bin farblich im türkis-gelb Schema geblieben.

But not on to my card. I needed a male birthday card so this challenge theme was perfect. I used a dog from the "Christmas Puppies" set by Gerda Steiner Designs, but as you can see it is also perfect for non-Christmas cards as well. Because there are stars on the bag that the dog is sitting in I used stars as embellishments and mainly used the colours yellow and turquoise.

Happy Halloween - Grumpy Cat (Gerda Steiner Designs)

Auch bei PINspirational ist das Thema "Halloween" und ich habe auch für diese Karte Motive von Gerda Steiner benutzt:

Heya my dear crafty friends!

PINspirational Challenges' new topic is "Halloween" as well and for this cardI have used the sweet images by Gerda Steiner again:

Begonnen habe ich mit dem Colorieren der süßen Stempel aus dem neuen "Where is the Candy" Set. Ich liebe die Tierstempel - also die Hauptakteure des Sets, aber auch die süßen Zusatzbildchen finde ich klasse - deswegen habe ich auch direkt alle ein paar Mal coloriert ;o) Für diese Karte habe ich mich entschieden, den Hund und die Katze zu benutzen, weil ich sofort eine Story hinter den Mimiken der beiden entdeckt habe. Welche Geschichte ich mir da in meinem Hirn zusammen gereimt habe? Na, schaut euch mal den Gesichtsausdruck der Samtpfote an und dann guckt mal, was sie trägt. Genau, das Licht. Der Hund hingegen hat schon einen ganzen Eimer voller Süßigkeiten und bekommt trotzdem immer noch mehr zugeworfen. Da wäre ich als Katze auch ein wenig neidisch und grummelig ;o)

I started with colouring all the cute images from the new "Where is the Candy" set by Gerda Steiner. I love the images of the animals and the little additions as well ;o) For this card I decided to only use the dog and the cat, because I could see a story behind the images: The cat looks very grumpy holding the lantern, right? And why is that? Well, I think, that the cat is mighty jealous, because the dog has a bucket full of candy already and the sweets are only thrown at him. ;o)

Den Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Carved Pumpkin und Fossilized Amber und ein paar Spritzern Perfect Pearls Wasser gemacht (das sind die glänzenden, hellen Punkte). Als Akzent habe ich noch die kleine Spinne von der oberen, rechten Ecke baumeln lassen - da sie sonst so leer war. Zum Schluss habe ich nur noch den Spruch gestempelt, mit Copics noch Schatten für die Tiere hinzugefügt und dann alles aufgeklebt. Damit es so ausschaut, als würde die Katze mit dem Licht vorgehen, habe ich sie als einzige mit Abstandskleber aufgeklebt.

I created the background with Distress Inks in Seedless Preserves, Carved Pumpkin and Fossilized Amber and also some flicks of water that I had added some Perfect Pearls in the colour Perfect Pearls to (they are the bright spots all over the background). As an accents, because it seemed to be a little to empty, I added the little spider to the top right. Now all that was left to do was to stamp the sentiment, add some drop shadows for the animals with a Copic marker and adhere the element to the card. I have used foam tape for the cat, so it looks like it is a bit in front of the dog holding the lantern, but everything else is adhered flat to the background.

Happy Birthday, Party Animal (Dogs & Cat)

Die aktuelle PINspirational Challenge ist genau das Richtige für all uns Hunde- und Katzenliebhaber - seht selbst ;o)

The newest PINspirational challenge is the perfect one for all us dog and cat lovers out there. But have a look yourself :o)

Für meine Karte habe ich überlegt, was die drei wohl gemacht haben, um so müde zu sein und war sicher, sie haben eine Party gefeiert mit ganz vielen Bällen, denen man nachspringen und -laufen kann ;o) Also habe ich mit Hilfe der MFT round shaker pouches diese Shaker-Karte gebastelt und darin ein paar bunte Tennisbälle fliegen lassen. Ein paar Bälle habe ich auf das Hintergrundpapier gestempelt, damit der Shakerteil nicht komplett leer ausschaut, wenn die Karte aufrecht steht, aber rückblickend wünschte ich, ich hätte noch mehr Bälle gestempelt und einige davon maskiert... Naja, beim nächsten Mal bin ich wieder etwas schlauer, hoffe ich zumindest ;o)

For my card I thought about what the three cuties might have done to end up this tired and thought they must have had a birthday party with lots and lots of things to throught, catch or run after ;o) So I created this shaker card with the MFT round shaker pouches and had some tennisballs flying around in there. I did stamp a few on the paper but in hindsight I wished I would have stamped a few more, so that it would not seem so empty when the card is standing up... Oh well, next time, right? :o)

Das Regenbogenpapier im Hintergrund ist übrigens das Titelblatt eines MFT 6x6 Pads ;o) Und die bunten Punkte überall und die Akzente auf den Hüten habe ich mit Nuvo-Drops gemacht - eine meiner neuen Leidenschaft. Ihr werdet wahrscheinlich auf meinen nächsten Karten ständig Punkte sehen :o) Ich finde sie aber wirklich klasse zu benutzen und liebe vor allem die Farbauswahl und den Umstand, dass man sie nicht umständlich aufkleben muss.

The rainbow paper is the title page of a MFT 6x6 paper pad in case you were wondering ;o) And those tiny drops and the accents on the hats are made with Nuvo drops - one of my newest passions ;o) It is quite likely that you will see loads of them on my next projects as well ;o) I just love how easy they are to use and also their colour pallette is awwesome. Love every single one of them *my wallet is sighing in defeat...

Happy Birthday card for a dog lover ;o)

"Katzen und Hunde" sind das neuste Thema von Challenge Up Your Life. Wer meinen Blog schon länger kennt, hätte jetzt sicher eine Katzenkarte erwartet, oder? Aber genau weil ich sonst so häufig meine Katzenstempel heraussuche, habe ich mich dieses Mal für die niedlichen Hunde entschieden ;o)

"Cats and Dogs" are the new challenge theme over at Challenge Up Your Life. If you know my blog, you will certainly have anticipated that I'd be using cats, am I right? But because I tend to use my cat stmaps far more often than any others anyways I thought I would use the cute dogs this time.;o)

Als erstes habe ich die Szene mit den Hunden gestempelt und mit Copics coloriert. Ich habe mir vorgestellt, dass sie in ihrem Lieblingspark sind, um ein Gruppenfoto für ihren Kumpel zu machen, der bald Geburtstag hat. Manchmal denke ich wirklich komische Sachen ;o) Als nächstes habe ich den Polaroidrahmen aus gemustertem und noch mal aus schwarzem Papier ausgestanzt. So konnte ich den schwarzen Rahmen mit einer quadratischen Stanze noch einmal zurechtschneiden und hatte die perfekte Größe inklusive der leicht abgerundeten Ecken innen.

I started by colouring the scene with the dogs. I imagined them being in their favourite park and taking a group picture for their friend whose birthday is coming up. Sometimes I do think strange things ;o) Next I die cut the polaroid frame from patterned paper and also one from black. That way I could die cut it again with a square die and have the perfect size and kept those slightly rounded edges on the inside.

Als nächstes habe ich den Spruch mit weißem Pulver auf rotes Papier embossed und beide Enden schräg abgeschnitten. Nachdem ich alle Einzelteile zu einem zusammengefügt hatte, habe ich sie auf die Kartenbasis geklebt, auf die ich zuvor noch ein geprägtes Stück Papier aufgeklebt hatte. Ich liebe die süßen Embossing Folder von Taylored Expressions. Ich wünschte mir allerdings, dass sie (und so manch anderer Hersteller auch) die Folder so designen würden, dass man auch eine Top-Folding-Kartenbasis direkt prägen könnte. Bis jetzt kenne ich das nur von Stampin Up, glaube ich. Kennt ihr vielleicht noch andere?

Next I white embossed the sentiment on a red strip of cardstock and cut both ends to an angle. After I assembled all the pieces I glued them to a card base that I had stuck a dry embossed piece of white paper on. I love those really cute folders by Taylored Expressions. I just wished they (and many other companies) would design their folders so that you could insert your top-folding cardbase and dry emboss that, rather than having to use yet another piece of paper stuck onto your card. I have only ever see that with Stampin Up folders I think. Do you know any other manufactures that make them that way?

Ich freu mich wirklich über das Endergebis. Es ist außerdem eine Karte, die auch für Männer geeignet ist ohne überwiegend blau oder grau zu sein und ich musste nicht auf meine süßen Viehchers verzichten. (Ihr erkennt sicherlich, ich brauchte dringend Männer-Geburtstagskarten *grins) Viel Spaß beim Basteln ;o)

I am really happy about how this card turned out. It is a male card without using blues or greys and omitting my cute critters. (You might have guessed, that I am in desperate need of some male birthday cards *grin) Happy crafting, everyone ;o)

Auch, wenn es zum Glück gerade erst so richtig Herbst geworden ist, habe ich mich schon einmal gedanklich mit meiner zweiten Weihnachtsserie auseinander gesetzt und wollte euch heute schon einmal davon berichten ;o)

Even though autumn has just started properly where I live, I have started to plan my second Christmas Series and wanted to tell you a little bit about it beforehand ;o)

Die Designer bringen neue Stempel heraus und dies hier ist einer, den ich besonders mag, aus der Feder von Gerda Steiner Designs ;o) Die Karte um ihn herum habe ich recht einfach gestaltet, weil ich finde, dass dieser niedliche Santa wirklich für sich spricht. Was meint ihr?

All the designers are releasing new Christmas stamps right now and this one, which I really love, was designed by Gerda Steiner ;o) I think that this cute Santa and his loving puppy make a perfect focal piece, so I kept the rest of the card quite simple and let them shine. 

Nur um euch schon einmal rechtzeitig zu informieren: Meine Weihnachtsserie 2016 wird am 20. Oktober starten und neben 24 Weihnachtsprojekten (wobei es überwiegend Karten sein werden) wird es auch wieder ein Giveaway geben. Speedy Recovery

Halli Hallo ihr Lieben!

Immer mal wieder erwischt einen lieben Menschen eine fiese Erkältung und da ist eine Karte doch genau das Richtige, um demjenigen zu zeigen, dass man an ihn denkt und ihm eine gute Besserung wünscht. Vor Kurzem hatte es Nina erwischt - ihr kennt sie vielleicht von ihrem wunderbaren Blog "Engelchenbastelstube" - und da habe ich ihr fix diese Karte hier gewerkelt. Mit der Vorgabe unserer neuen Challenge auf dem Cards und More Blog habe ich auf Designerpapier verzichtet und alles selber eingefärbt:

Heya my dear friends!

Every now and then a dear friend catches a nasty bug and I think a card is perfect to show, that you think of them and wish them a speedy recovery. A short while back Nina - you might know her from her wonderful blog "Engelchenbastelstube" - was ill and so I sat down and made this card for her: Keeping our new task at the Cards und More in mind I didn't use any patterned paper and coloured everything myself:

Ich meine zu wissen, dass Nina die Kombination aus Türkis und Pink gerne mag (oder war es doch nur Türkis???) und deshalb habe ich einen entsprechend farbigen Hintergrund gestaltet. Dazu habe ich eine Schablone von Echo Park benutzt und mit Peacock Feathers Distress Ink ein Zickzack-Muster recht mittig auf mein Papier aufgetragen. Die weißen Ränder habe ich dann mit Tumbled Glass noch blau gefärbt.

I hope I remembered correctly that Nina loves the combination of turquoise and pink which is why I chose the bluish green tones for the background. I used a stencil by Echo Park and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to add the zig zags to the middle part of the panel and coloured the rest with Tumbled Glass.

Während der Hintergrund trocknete, habe ich die Taschentuchbox gestempelt und ebenfalls coloriert. Danach habe ich die Buchstaben ausgestanzt und mit den Zigs das knallige Pink aufgetragen. Als der Hintergrund trocken genug war, habe ich den Spruch embossed und die Elemente auf die Karte geklebt. Ich hatte übrigens das Glück die liebe Nina am Samstag auf dem Stempelmekka zu treffen und freue mich sagen zu können, dass es ihr schon wieder besser geht ;o) Happy crafting und euch allen einen wunderbaren, sonnigen und gesunden Tag ;o)

While I let the background dry I stamped and coloured and the tissue box. I also die cut the letters I needed for the banner and coloured them using Zig markers. After that was done I heat embossed the sentiment and added all elements to the card. I had the fortune to meet Nina at the Stempelmekka last Saturday and am happy to be able to say that she is feeling a lot better by now ;o) Happy crafting and a wonderful, healthy day to everyone reading this ;o)

Ich hoffe, ihr hattet ein paar schöne Ostertage und nicht zu viel Regen ;o) Heute möchte ich euch meine Inspirationskarte zur aktuelle PINspirational Challenge zeigen:

I hope you all had a few lovely and not too rainy days this Easter ;o)Today I would like to show you my inspiration card for the current PINspirational Challenge:

Ich liebe diesen Spruch, neben Johnny Depp, weil er mich immer zum Lachen bringt ;o) Aber nun zur Karte. Zuerst habe ich den süßen Hund ausgedruckt, mit Copics coloriert und anschließend ausgeschnitten. Nachdem ich das Fenster aus dem Papier geschnitten habe, habe ich mich um die Szene gekümmert, die man dort hindurch sehen kann. Dafür habe ich zwei Wellenformen ausgestanzt und ein gemustertes Papier mit den süßen Wölkchen zurecht geschnitten.

I really love the sentiment next to Johnny Depp, because it never fails to make me smile :o) But now on to my card. I printed and coloured the cute pirate dog and cut it out. After I had die cut the peek-a-boo window for my panel I prepared the scene that went behind it. I die cut two wave shapes from light blue paper and also cut a piece of patterned paper to size.

Das Schiff habe ich nach dem Colorieren ebenfalls ausgeschnitten und zwischen die Wellen geklebt. Danach habe ich den Spruch gestempelt und das weiße Papier mit Abstandshaltern darüber geklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich den Hund noch an die passende Stelle geklebt und fertig war die Karte. Ich hoffe, sie gefällt euch ;o)

After I had coloured the boat I fussy cut it as well and glued it down between the waves. Next I stamped the sentiment and adhered the white panel with the window with foam tapes to give it more dimension. Finally I stuck the dog down, having its right ear hang over the edge of the card just a little bit and my card was done. I hope you like it ;o)

Schön dass ihr hier vorbeischaut! Dieses Mal möchte ich euch gerne die Karte zeigen, die ich für einen meiner allerbesten Freunde gemacht habe, der vor Kurzem der Besitzer einer super süßen, "kleinen" Labradorhündin geworden ist. Natürlich musste ich diesen niedlichen Stempel von Avery Elle benutzen und ihn so wie den Hund meines Freundes anmalen.

Thanks for stopping by today! This time I'd like to show you the card I made for one of my bestestest friends who recently became the owner of a sweet "little" Labrador. Naturally I had to use this cute stamp from Avery Elle and colour it the same colour as my friend's dog.

Als erstes habe ich die gemusterten Papiere auf die Kartenfront geklebt und den Hund mit der passenden Stanze aus der unteren rechten Ecke ausgestanzt. Anschließend habe ich das Bild durch das Loch durchgestempelt, damit der Hund auch wirklich an der richtigen Stelle war. Das hier sieht man, wenn man die Karte öffnet:

In order to make the card, I started with the front of the card and glued all the pieces - except the panel with the sentiment - down. Then I ran it through my Big Shot with the coordinating die for the dog in the lower right corner. Afterwards I stamped the image through the hole in my card front to have the dog in exactly the right spot. So this is what you see when you open the card:

Jetzt werdet ihr sicher alle denken ich sei verrückt geworden... Könnt ihr das Muster hinter dem Geburtstaggruß sehen? Das habe ich gestempelt. Dazu habe ich diesen winzig kleinen Hundeknochen aus dem Stempelset etliche Male mit einem ganz hellen Grauton gestempelt und anschließend habe ich mit den Copics die Zwischenräume ausgemalt. Glücklicherweise hatte ich haargenau den Farbton den ich brauchte. Es hat eine ganze Weile gedauert, aber ich mag das Ergebnis total gern. Das Muster ist nicht zu grell, als dass es von dem Gruß ablenken würde und rundet die Thematik der Karte super ab, finde ich. 

Now you will all think I got crazy... Can you see the pattern behind the sentiment? Good ;o) I stamped it and coloured around all these itty bitty bones using my copic marker which had exactly the colour I needed. It took me quite some time, but I really like the outcome. The pattern isn't too distracting yet makes the card come together.

Hallo ihr Lieben!

Heute habe ich endlich mal wieder eine neue Karte für euch! Durch den Besuch der Creativa (Kreativmesse in Dortmund) fehlte mir diese Woche ein ganzer Tag... Falls ihr in der Nähe wohnt kann ich euch den Besuch nur ans Herz legen! Ich habe nette Menschen (wieder)getroffen, neue Stempel und Stanzen bekommen, neue Techniken gesehen (die ich bald natürlich mit euch teilen werde) und mich sogar an Origami rangetraut.

Finally I have another card for you. It took me longer than usual to sit down and create a new card for you because I have been on the "Creativa" (a fair for all things crafty in Dortmund). In case you are living near by I highly recommend a visit! I met nice people, got - well bought - new stamps and dies, learned about new techniques ( which of course I'll be sharing with you soon) and even tried my hands on origami.

Die heutige Karte habe ich unter anderem für die Challenge von der Stempelküche, von Avery Elle I {heart} you und von MFT Card Challenges gemacht. Naja, gemacht habe ich sie für Freunde, die gerade eine Aufmunterung brauchen können, aber die Themen der Challenges haben mich inspiriert.

Für die Karte habe ich mich das erste Mal daran getraut kombinierte Stempelbilder mit den entsprechenden Stanzen auszuschneiden. Dazu habe ich zuerst die Stanze für den Hund aufgelegt und alles so in meiner Big Shot platziert, wie ich es immer tue - mit einer Ausnahme: Die oberste Schneideplatte habe ich nur bis zum Rand des Kissens auf die Stanzform gelegt, so dass nur der obere Teil ausgeschnitten wurde. Dann habe ich die Kissenstanze angebracht (leider ist sie mir ein wenig verrutscht - ich würde euch raten die Stanze mit Washitape gut zu fixieren) und zuerst die rechte Seite (bis zum Hund), dann die linke Seite und zum Schluss noch den unteren Rand ausgeschnitten. So hatte ich dann den Hund inklusive Kissen in einem Stück in der Hand. (Falls ihr eine Bildanleitung haben möchtet, sagt einfach Bescheid!)

I made today's card amongst others for the challenges of  the Stempelküche, Avery Elle I {heart} you and the MFT Card Challenges blog. Well, I made the cards for friends of mine who can do with a little encouragement and let myself be inspired by the above mentioned blogs.

This was the first time I tried die-cutting an image made out of two stamps and their coordinating dies. To do so I placed the die for the dog on top of it and built my Big-Shot - "sandwich" like I would normally do. However, I put the plate above the die just up to where the dog and the pillow meet, so that it would not cut further down than this. Then I placed the pillow-die on my image and cut the right side of it by only placing the top-plate over the pillow up to where both images meet. I did this for all four sides and could hold the image in my hand, cut (almost) perfectly. Unfortunately the pillow die shifted a little bit when I put it through the Big Shot the first time - so please learn from my mistakes and do not trust solely in your magnetic plate (if you happen to also have one) but use washi tape as well. And enough of it... (If you'd like to see the process step by step in pictures, just let me know!)
