Mögt ihr Juwelen, Glitzer und Schimmer? Dann seid ihr bei der neuen Crafty Cardmakers Challenge komplett richtig. Für meine Inspirationskarte habe ich einen Stempel benutzt, den ich schon eine Weile habe und der offenbar nur auf das richtige Thema gewartet hat:

Do you like gems, glitter and shimmer? In that case the current Crafty Cardmakers challenge "Bling's the Thing" is definately for you ;o) For my inspirational card I used a stamp that has been in my stash for a little while now and it seems like it has waited for its turn with this challenge. Have a look yourself:

Auf eine Kartenbasis aus Kraftpapier habe ich das rote gestreifte Papier vollflächig aufgeklebt, einen schwarzen Streifen Papier mit dem Spruch weiß embosst und das dann erst einmal zur Seite gelegt. Als nächstes habe ich den weißen Rahmen aus Copic freundlichem Papier (Perfect Coloring Paper) ausgestanzt und das innere Teil bestempelt.

This time I chose to make a card base out of craft paper, covered it with this lovely red patterned paper and also embossed the sentiment in a small piece of black cardstock. I put all of this to the side while I die cut the frame from some copic friendly paper (Perfect Coloring Paper to be precise) and stamped the cute image on the inside piece.

Das Colorieren hat viel Spaß gemacht, hat aber auch einen Moment gedauert. Zusammen mit dem weißen Rahmen habe ich das Motiv leicht versetzt auf die Karte geklebt, um es etwas interessanter zu gestalten, habe den Spruch mit Abstandskleber festgeklebt und auf der Karte noch ein paar bunte Gems als Verzierung verteilt. Ich hoffe, sie gefällt euch und ihr habt auch Luste bekommen eure Glitzerstifte, Gems und Glitterdosen auszupacken ;o)  Falls ihr zum Jahresbeginn noch etwas mehr Inspiration haben möchtet, guckt einfach morgen noch einmal hier vorbei, da habe ich dann direkt zwei neue Karten für euch ;o) Ich wünsche euch eine tolle Woche und happy crafting, eure Maike

I did enjoy the colouring very much, but it took quite some time. With the frame in place I adhered the coloured piece to the left of the card base to give it some extra interest, used foam tape to adhere the sentiment and scattered a few gems around the gopher for embellishment. Hallo meine Lieben!

Ich hoffe, ihr alle hattet eine schöne, gemütliche und kreative Zeit zwischen Weihnachten und heute ;o) Ich weiß nicht, wie es euch geht, aber mein Basteltisch hat mich in den vergangenen zwei Wochen kaum gesehen: Seit Beginn des Jahres gab es bei uns nämlich bereits drei Geburtstage zu feiern. Für das neue Thema "Embossingfolder" bei Challenge Up Your Life, habe ich dann aber gestern doch ein bisschen mit meinen neuen und alten Goodies gespielt:

I hope you all had a great, cozy and creative time between Christmas and now ;o) My craft desk hadn't seen me in quite a long time, because we already got to celebrate three birthdays this year. Have you had time to get creative in 2018 yet? For the new task "Embossingfolder" at Challenge Up Your Life which starts today I got some old and new goodies out yesterday to create an inspiration card for you:

Zuerst habe ich mit Distress Oxide Inks den Hintergrund gestaltet. Für den Himmel habe ich die Farben Fossilized Amber und Picked Raspberry benutzt, für das Wasser erst einmal nur Peacock Feathers. Nach dem Trocknen habe ich im oberen Teil die Wolken mit einem Embossing Folder geprägt und die Luftblasen mit einer Schablone und Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink aufgetragen.

I started by creating the background with Distress Oxide Inks. For the sky I have used the colours Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry, for the water Peacock Feathers. After the ink had dried I added some cloud texture to the sky with an embossing folder and also the bubbles for the water area using a stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink.

Als nächstes habe ich die Meeresbewohner mit Embossingpulver auf die Karte gebracht - nur die ganz kleinen Fische oben rechts sind gestempelt. I finde, die Quallen und der silberne Fisch sind klasse geworden, aber ich bin immer wieder enttäuscht, wie heftig der Unterschied zwischen dem gelben Pulver und seinem Endergebnis ist. Habt ihr Empfehlungen für ein richtig schön deckendes, gelbes Embossingpulver? Ich würde mich echt freuen, wenn ihr mit mir teilen würdet, was ihr so benutzt ;o)

Next I added the critters using embossing powder for all but the tiny ones in the upper right corner. I love how the jelly fish and the silver one turned out, but I am always disappointed when I compare the yellow powder to its end result. Have you any suggestions for a really opaque yellow embossing powder? I would love to hear what you use ;o)

Zum Schluss habe ich dann noch den Spruch gestempelt, mit den Enamel Pfeilen von Create a Smile aufgehübscht und auf die Kartenbasis geklebt. Und weil ein bisschen Glitter immer geht, habe ich die Wolken noch mit meinem Wink of Stella zum Glitzern gebracht. Das wars für heute, ihr Lieben! Ich liebe den Look von Embossing Foldern - auch, wenn sie wie ich gehört habe gerade out sind *grins - und würde mich freuen zu sehen, was ihr aus dem Thema macht. My last steps were to stamps the sentiment and accentuate it with the fun enamel arrows by Create a Smile. After I glued the piece to the card base I also added some glitter to the clouds to set them off a bit more. So, that was my card for today, my friends! I do love the look of dry embossing - even though I have heard rumors it isn't the most fashionable technique right now *grin - and I would love to see what you create using your folders. Candle-light boxes / Schenkli-Teelicht-Boxen

"Alles, außer einer Karte" ist das Thema der neuen Crafty Cardmakers Challenge. Ich möchte mit euch die Schenkli-Teelicht-Boxen teilen, die ich für die Teilnehmer des Klosterwochenendes gemacht habe:

"Anything but a card" is the theme of the new Crafty Cardmakers challenge. I would like to share with you the candle-light boxes I made for the lovely participants of our cloister weekend:

Die Schachtel habe ich mit meiner BigShot Plus gestanzt, dann ein Fenster ausgestanzt und das Papier embossed. Anschließend habe ich noch ein Stück Folie hinter das Fenster geklebt.

I die cut the box with my BigShot Plus, die cut a window from it and embossed the paper afterwards. Next I glued some acetate behind the window.

Der kleine Igel, mit dem ich die Vorderseite verziert habe, ist von Purple Onion Designs und einfach nur niedlich, findet ihr nicht auch? Außer dem colorierten Motiv habe ich nur noch mit ein paar Nuvo Drops verziert, damit das Teelicht auch die Möglichkeit hat, sein Licht zu zeigen ;o) Innen gab es noch einen Farbklecks, der gleichzeitig das Versteck für ein kleines Betthupferl war:

The little hedgehog, which I have used to embellish the front with, is by Purple Onion Designs and just too cute, don't you think? Apart from the little guy I only used a few Nuvo drops to make the front look pretty, because i wanted the candle light to be able to show through the paper in as many places as possible ;o) Inside there is a bit more colour, which acts as a background for the hedgehog, but also as a hiding place for the little chocolate surprise inside:

Summer Happiness

Nach der Luftmatratzen-Spinnerkarte von gestern geht es heute direkt mit noch einer Badevergnügen-Karte weiter. :o) Für die neue Cards und More Challenge mit dem schönen Titel "Girls just wanna have fun" habe ich diese Karte gebastelt:

After yesterday's air matress-spinner card I'll follow up today with this bathing fun card :o) For the newest Cards und More Challenge with the fun theme "Girls just wanna have fun" I created this card:

Für meine Karte habe ich den Digistamp "Inner-Tube-Girl" unseres freundlichen Sponsors gewählt und es mit Copics coloriert. Meine Idee hinter dieser Karte war sie so aussehen zu lassen, wie ein gerahmtes Foto. Den quadratischen Rahmen um das Mädchen habe ich mit den gleichen Farben coloriert wie zuvor schon den Schwimmreifen, damit das Ganze eine optische Einheit wird. Außerdem habe ich noch drei Fische hinzugefügt, um noch ein wenig mehr Bewegung und Farbe auf die Karte zu bekommen, da das Gelb am Ende doch ziemlich kräftig war ;o) Unter den Rahmen habe ich zum Schluss noch einen auffälligen Spruch von Mama Elephant gestempelt und meine Karte war fertig. Ich hoffe, ihr habt Lust bekommen bei unserer Challenge mitzuspielen und vielleicht werdet ihr ja auch unser glücklicher Gewinner / unsere glückliche Gewinnerin von drei KennyK Digistamps ;o) Habt eine großartige Woche, ihr Lieben ;o)

I used our kind sponsor's image "Inner-Tube-Girl" and coloured it with Copic makers. My idea was to have the imiage part of the card look like a framed photo. I opted for using the same yellow for the frame that I had used for the tube to make the card look more finished. I also added the three pink fish to add a bit more (colour) to the card without distracting too much from the main image. Below the framed part I added a bold sentiment by Mama Elephant and my card was done. Du bist zauberhaft! You are enchanting!

Schon wieder sind zwei Wochen um und es gibt eine neue Herausforderung bei Challenge Up Your Life. Dieses Mal möchten wir jede Menge "Hokus Pokus" auf euren Karten sehen. Natürlich habe ich erst einmal an Halloween gedacht und meine entsprechenden Stempel herausgesucht, aber da ich nicht so viele Halloweenkarten verschicke, suchte ich nach einer anderen Möglichkeit meine Motive zu nutzen. Und hier seht ihr das Ergebnis:

The new task at the Challenge Up Your Life blog is all about "Hocus Pocus" and of course I thought about making a Halloween card. However I don't really send out this kind of card, because it is celebrated a lot differently here in Germany - if at all, so I wanted to find a way to use my Halloween images but with a different idea behind it. This is what I came up with:

Ihr wisst vielleicht schon, dass ich die kleine Hexe aus dem Set "Witch Way is the Candy" von MFT total knuffig finde und freu mich total, endlich eine Idee zu haben, sie mit dem selbst kreierten Spruch auch außerhalb von Halloween sinnvoll einsetzen zu können! Letztes Jahr habe ich bereits zwei Karten mit ihr gezeigt: eine Shakercard und einmal als Magnetelement in der No-Line-Technik :o)

The sentiment "Du bist zauberhaft" translates to something like "You are enchanting / lovely". Maybe you already know that I love the cute little witch from the "Witch Way is the Candy" set by MFT - I have used her a couple of times before ;o) (shaker card, magnet card)

Nachdem ich mir einen Plan zurechtgelegt hatte, war das Herstellen der Karte keine Zauberei (*hihi) mehr. Ich habe den Kessel und die kleine Hexe gestempelt, coloriert und dann noch den Boden dazugemalt. Als alles trocken war, habe ich diese drei Elemente mit einer Maske geschützt und den Hintergrund mit dem Copic Airbrushsystem und einem C2 aufgesprüht. Mit Hilfe einer Mauern-Schablone und meines C6 habe ich dann die Ziegelsteine hinzugefügt. Besonders um den Nebel aus dem Kessel herum war ich vorsichtig nicht zu dunkel zu werden. Mit einer ovalen Stanze habe ich die Szene dann ausgestanzt, um damit den Eindruck zu erwecken, als würde man die bezaubernde junge Hexe durch ein Schlüsselloch oder etwas Ähnliches sehen.

Making the card was no witchcraft (*hehe) after I had figured out a plan. I stamped and coloured the cauldron and the witch and added the ground. After I had masked these three elements I used my Copic Airbrush and a C2 marker to colour in the background. With the brick stencil and a C6 I added in the bricks, being very careful not to get too dark in the area above the cauldron. I used an oval to die cut the scene, because I wanted to create the impression like you were looking into her lab through a keyhole or something similar.

Als nächstes habe ich die Fledermaus und auch den ersten Teil des Spruchs gestempelt, um den ich ein Banner herumgezeichnet habe, und habe beides mit Copics coloriert. (Dank der genialen Step-By-Step Anleitungen von "the revisionguide" auf Instagram habe ich auch einen ziemlich guten ersten Versuch geschafft, finde ich...) Alles was jetzt noch zu tun war, war die Buchstaben auszustanzen und alles an der richtigen Stelle aufzukleben. Ich hoffe, ihr habt auch Lust daraus bei unserer neuen Challenge mitzumachen. Wie ihr seht, müssen es nicht unbedingt Halloween-Projekte sein, obwohl wir uns darüber natürlich auch sehr freuen ;o)) Habt ein wundervolles, langes (?) Wochenende und bis ganz bald!

Next I stamped the bat and also first part of the sentiment and drew a banner around it and coloured them with Copics. (Thanks to the awesome step-by-step tutorials of "the revisionguide" on instagram I managed a decent first-try-banner...) Now all that was left to do was to die cut all the letters and to assemble the card. Ich darf euch heute schon einmal eine Karte mit einem der "Cheerful Hedgehogs" zeigen, die Gerda Steiner Designs übermorgen herausbringen wird. In dem Set enthalten sind 4 von den süßen Igelchen, aber dieser hier hat es mir total angetan:

Today I can show you a card with one of the "Cheerful Hedgehogs", which Gerda Steiner Designs will release the day after tomorrow. In the set there are four different of these cute critters, but this one has captured my heart at once:

Den Igel habe ich so gestempelt, dass es ausschaut als würde er sich rückwärts in den Laubhaufen, der übrigens auch Teil des Sets ist, plumpsen lassen. Ich habe die Szene mit Copics coloriert und dabei darauf geachtet, die Stacheln erst ganz zum Schluss einzuzeichnen, damit sie nicht wieder verwischt werden.

I stamped the hedgehog so that it looks like he would fall backwards into the heap of leaves, which is also part of the set. I used my Copics to colour him in, making sure to add the prickers (hope that is the right word) last, so that they wouldn't get smudged.

Meine quadratische Kartenbasis habe ich mit einem bunten Herbstpapier von Lawn Fawn beklebt und den gewellten Kreis aus einem weißen Stück Papier gestanzt, das etwas kleiner ist, als die Kartenbasis. Bevor ich dann letztendlich alles zusammengeklebt habe, habe ich noch den Spruch in braun gestempelt, damit er zu der Farbe des Igels passt. Ich hoffe, ich konnte euch ein bisschen neugierig auf den neuen Release machen und ihr schaut euch die neuen Sets dann mal an - ich finde, da sind ein paar richtig süße Stempel mit dabei ;o)

I covered my square cardbase with a fall themed paper by Lawn Fawn and also die cut the scalloped circle from a white piece of paper. Before I glued everything together I stamped the sentiment in brown to match the colour of the hedgehog. I hope you'll go and check out the release - let me tell you, there are some real cuties in the new sets :o)

Es ist Samstag und damit nicht nur Wochenende, sondern auch der Start einer neuen Herausforderung auf dem "Challenge Up Your Life" Blog! Dieses Mal wollen wir eure Werke mit allen Arten von Tieren bewundern. Ganz egal, ob Hund, Katze, Maus oder.... Tukan:

Hello everyone and goodl morning ;o)

Today is Saturday and this does not only mean, that the weekend is finally here, but also that we have a new challenge for you ate the "Challenge Up Your Life" blog. This time we would like to see projects with all kinds of critters. It doesn't matter wether you use the image of a cat, a dog, a mouse or.... a toucan:

Vielleicht hat die ein oder andere unter euch meine Muttertagskarte von vor ein paar Tagen gesehen? Ich hatte da nämlich seit langer Zeit mal wieder meine Zigs herausgekramt. Die leuchtenden Farben finde ich wirklich wunderschön, aber ich hab mich nie so wirklich an die Stifte dran getraut. Was mir geholfen hat? Das könnt ihr hier nachlesen. ;o) Meinem Tukan wollte ich auch gerne ein so leuchtendes Federkleid malen, also habe ich mich wieder für die Zigs entschieden und dieses Mal für einen No-Line Look. Die Ränder sind leider nicht ganz so klar geworden, wie ich das gern gehabt hätte, weil die starke Struktur vom Papier gegen mich gearbeitet hat. Aber... ich finde den No-Line-Wasserfarbeffekt wirklich super schön und werde weiter üben und auch mal andere Papiere mit den Zigs ausprobieren, um herauszufinden, was am besten funktioniert.

Maybe some of you have seen the Mother's Day card with the crocuses, that I have posted a couple of days ago? (click) I had used my Zig markers again, after having forgotten about them for the longest time and I loved the vibrant look they gave me. I wanted my toucan to have the same vibrant colours, so I used them again, but this time I went for a no-line look. Quite frankly: it took ages and in the close up picture you can see that the edges aren't nearly as clean, as I would like them to be. But... I think no-line watercolour look is absolutely amazing and I will definately try out different papers with the Zigs, to find out which one works best.

Den Hintergrund für die Karte habe ich direkt auf der Kartenbasis gestaltet. Dazu habe ich mit dem Mini Round Ink Blending Tool "Peacock Feathers" Distress Ink aufgetragen und anschließend die Federn mit der gleichen Farbe gestempelt. Normalerweise kann man mit den Distress Inks ja nicht so gut stempeln (finde ich), aber hier haben sie mich wirklich überrascht. Meistens probiere ich das an einer Stelle aus, die man später nicht mehr sehen kann und dieses Mal hatte ich schon gedacht, dass ich mein MISTI rausholen müsste, aber es hat ganz wunderbar geklappt. 

I created the background directly on the card base itself, using a Mini Round Ink Blending Tool and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. Next I used the same ink again to stamp the feathers, because I love the tone on tone look it gives. Usually Distress Inks aren't all that great for stamping, but I was really surprised this time. When I remember to do so, I test the stamping on a spot that will be covered later on and I have already seen myself getting out the MISTI to get a crisp image, but the ink worked really well with those feathers from WPlus9.

Bei den Crafty Cardmakers sind dieses Mal "Herbstfarben" Thema der neuen Challenge. Durch meine Freundin Stempelfrida und ihren Blog bin ich auf ich auf die süßen Stempel von Tiddly Inks gestoßen und hatte mich dort in den Stempel verliebt, den ihr hier auf meiner Karte seht:

Hello dear crafty friends!

The Crafty Cardmakers and more blog has a new challenge for you that runs for the next fortnight. We would love to see cards with "Autumn Colours" from you. When I looked around for inspiration for my card I saw some cute Tiddly Inks stamps on my friend's Stempelfrida blog. When I searched their line of stamps I found the image on my gard and fell in love with it:

Als erstes habe ich die Kartenfront mit einer Technik gestaltet, die ich zuerst bei Nina von dem Blog "Engelchensbastelstube" gesehen habe. Dazu habe ich mit Hilfe von Stanzen eigene Herbstblätterschablone erstellt und mit vielen verschiedenen Distress-Inks die Blätter auf die Karte "gewischt". Als ich mit dem Blättergewimmel zufrieden war habe ich mit der "Peek-aboo" Stanze von My Favorite Things ein Loch in die Karte geschnitten und auch noch einmal aus einem braunen Papier. Um den Rahmen zu erhalten habe ich quasi das Loch noch einmal mit einer Kreisstanze ausgestanzt. Diesen hab ich dann passend aufgeklebt und mit "Clear Wink of Stella" ein wenig Schimmer verpasst.

First I created the card front using a technique that I had first seen on Nina's blog which is called "Engelchenbastelstube". I cut leaf masks with some Lawn Fawn dies I own and sponged on top of them with various Distress Inks. When I was happy with the result I cut a "Peek-a-boo" window into the card front and also from a brown piece of paper. I cut the scalloped area with a circle die, so that I would get a frame and glued it on to the card front. I added some shimmer with the "Clear Wink of Stella" pen.

Passend zu dem Rahmen habe ich den Kartengruß "consider yourself hugged" (Fühl Dich umarmt) mit "Dark Chocolate" von Simon Says gestempelt. Mit der Schneidemaschine habe ich einen ganz schmalen Streifen geschnitten und anschließend frei Hand die Fähnchenecken geschnitten. Zum Schluss habe ich meinen Stempel an die richtige Position gebracht, mit einer "genähten" Rechteck ausgestanzt und innen in die Karte geklebt. 

I chose the sentiment "consider yourself hugged" because it was the perfect addition to the sweet image and stamped it with "Dark Chocolate Ink" by Simon Says. I had stamped it very close to the edge of my paper and could now use a cutting machine to cut a very small strip of paper. Next I cut some ribbon ends with my scissors and glued the greeting strip down as well.

Hallöchen ihr Lieben!

Heute habe ich eine Freundschaftskarte für euch. Guten Freunden kann man einfach gar nicht oft genug sagen, wie wichtig sie sind. An dieser Stelle einmal an alle meine Freunde: Ihr seid die Besten! ;o) Natürlich kann man eine digitale Nachricht schicken, aber das ist einfach nicht das gleiche wie eine Karte im Briefkasten zwischen all der oft unerfreulichen Post und aus dem Blauen heraus. Oder wie seht ihr das?

Today I'd like to share with you a card about friendship. You can't tell good friends how great they are often enough I think. So I'd like to take this opportunity to say to my friends: "You guys are the absolut best!" ;o) Of course you can always send a digital message, but that isn't the same as a nice card in your post box out of the blue, don't you think?

Ich mag sowohl die "Flirty Frames" von Lawn Fawn als auch die süßen Tiere von "Carnival Cupcake" von Mama Elephant total gerne und deshalb habe ich sie zusammen auf einer Karte verbastelt. Zuerst habe ich die Sterne auf die rechte Seite der Kartenbasis gestempelt und habe dafür "Wet Cement", "Fresh Peach" and "Butterbar" von Hero Arts benutzt. Die 3 Farben zusammen sind meiner Meinung nach eine wirklich schöne, softe und trotzdem nicht zu weibliche Kombination. Mit dem "Fresh Peach" Stempelkissen habe ich ein Stück Papier eingefärbt, darauf einen der größten der "Flirty Frames" gestempelt und mit der passenden Stanze ausgeschnitten. Den gleichen Stempel habe ich noch einmal auf ein weißes Papier abgestempelt, den inneren Teil ausgeschnitten und darauf dann den Spruch in "Wet Cement" aufgebracht. Um alles abzurunden habe ich noch die gelben Sterne um den Spruch herum gruppiert. Den Rahmen habe ich direkt auf die Kartenbasis aufgeklebt, die Schatten für den Hasen und den Bären aufgemalt und die Tiere dann ebenfalls aufgeklebt.

I love both the "Flirty Frames" from Lawn Fawn and the little characters from "Carnival Cupcake" from Mama Elephant and so I just had to use them on a card together. First I stamped the stars on the right side of my card base in "Wet Cement", "Fresh Peach" and "Butterbar" from Hero Arts. The three colours are a really nice, soft yet not too female colour combination in my opinion.Then I sponged some "Fresh Peach" on a piece of cardstock, stamped one of the largest frames from the set and cut it out using its coordinating die. I then stamped the same stamp again, only on a white piece of cardstock and cut the inner part out, stamped the greeting in "Wet Cement" and added yellow stars to tie it all together. I added the frame to the cardbase, drew a shadow for my animals and glued them down as well. This way I can send it through the mail without any added postage ;o)

Das mit den Copics übe ich noch, aber die beiden sind immerhin schon mal ganz niedlich geworden ;o)

I am still learning how to copic, but I think these two turned out rather cute ;o)
