Ich danke euch für eure vielen lieben Kommentare, die netten Worte und all die schöne Zeit, die ich in diesem Jahr mit euch Bastelverrückten hatte und wünsche euch allen einen guten Rutsch in ein zufriedenes, glückliches und gesundes neues Jahr 2018! Christmas Series #25 / Weihnachtsserie #25 (Quick, get a Christmas Tree)

Frohe Weihnachten ihr Lieben!

Ich wünsche euch allen ein wunderbares Fest mit all euren Lieben, Zeit für euch und die Menschen / Aktivitäten, die euch wichtig sind, leckere Schlemmereien, strahlende Lichter und Fröhlichkeit. Heute möchte ich gerne mit euch die letzte Karte meiner 2017er Weihnachtsserie teilen:

Merry Christmas my dear crafty friends!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Christmas with all of your loved ones, time for yourself and the people / activities that you love, delicious delightfulness (I hope this is the correct term), beaming lights and happiness. Today I would like to share with you the last card of my 2017's Christmas series:

Begonnen habe ich damit, den Biber auf ein quadratisch zurechtgeschnittenes Papier gestempelt, ihn mit einer Maske geschützt und die Pinien hinter ihn gestempelt: die großen nah an ihn ran und die kleineren so, dass sie weiter im Hintergrund sind. Anschließend habe ich den Hasen noch gestempelt, coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Coloriert habe ich alles mit Copics.

I started by stamping the beaver on a square piece of paper, that I had cut down to fit the frame I wanted to put over the scene later. Then I adhered a mask over the cute critter and stamped the trees. I stamped the large pine close to "Red" and the two smaller ones more to the side so that it looks like they are further away from him. Next I stamped the bunny, coloured it and fussy cut it out. I coloured everything with Copic markers.

Als nächstes habe ich die Kartenbasis vorbereitet: mit einer Schablone und der Hilfe meiner neuen Stencil-Brushes (die ich total liebe - werde euch mal darüber berichten, wenn ich sie auch weiterhin so genial finde) habe ich passend zur Mütze vom Hasen zartrosa Schneeflocken aufgetragen. Dann den Spruch sowie die Mini-Schneeflocken gestempelt und freihand die Linie außen herum gezogen. Zum Schluss habe ich den Rahmen über das Papier mit dem Bieber und das dann auf die Kartenbasis geklebt. Den Hasen habe ich mit Abstandshaltern festgeklebt. Ich hoffe, euch hat meine Serie Freude bereitet und euch vielleicht auch zu der ein oder anderen Karte inspiriert. Genießt die Feiertage und habt viel Spaß! Frohe Weihnachten, Eure Maike ;o)

Next I got started on the card base: with a stencil and the help of my awesome new stencil-brushes (which I totally love and thought I'd use them a bit longer before sharing my view on them if I still love them as much in a few weeks) I added some light pink snowflakes to the paper, so that they would fit the colour of the bunny's hat. Next I stamped the greeting and the three tiny snowflakes and drew a line around the edge of the card. I adhered the frame to the square pice of paper and then both elements to the card base. Using foam-tape the bunny was the last piece that got adhered to the card. I hope you liked my series and that I could maybe inspire you to create one or two cards. Christmas Series #24 / Weihnachtsserie #24 (Purrfect Christmas)

Morgen ist es endlich soweit und zeige ich euch heute die vorletzte Karte der Serie. Habt ihr am Gewinnspiel teilgenommen? Noch ist Zeit ein paar Lose einzuheimsen und die Chance auf den $25 Gutschein zu erhöhen ;o)

Tomorrow we are celebrating Christmas here in Germany so I thought I'd better hurry up and share that second to last card with you. Did you remember to play along with my giveaway? There is still plenty of time to collect some tokens to incline your chance of winning a $25 gift certificate ;o)

Wie ihr sehen könnt, ist die Karte für einen Katzenliebhaber gedacht ;o) Dafür habe ich bei mir selber bzw. einer älteren Karte abgeschaut, die ich mit den "I Knead You"-Stempeln von MFT gemacht hatte und die eine meiner All-Time-Favourite Karten ist. Ich habe drei Polaroidrahmen ausgestanzt und das Innere mit "Twisted Citron" Distress Ink eingefärbt. Für diese Karte habe ich drei andere Katzen coloriert und ausgeschnitten. Eine davon hat sogar noch als passendes Accessoire eine Weihnachtsmütze bekommen. (Mit meinen beiden Katern dürfte ich das nicht ausprobieren... vermutlich würden sie ausziehen oder so.. ;o)

As you can see today's card is meant for a cat-lover ;o) I copied the design from an older card I have always loved with the "I Knead You" set by MFT. I die cut three polaroid frames and coloured the insides green using "Twisted Citron" Distress Ink. This time I coloured three different adorable cats and gave one of them a Christmas hat. (My cats would probably move out of our house if I ever tried this.... ;o)

Als nächstes habe ich den Spruch hinzugefügt und dafür einige Buchstabensticker in den gleichen Farben angemalt, die ich auch für die Weihnachtsmütze verwendet hatte. Die weiteren Teile des Spruches auf den äußeren Rahmen habe ich einfach nur gestempelt, um den Fokus auf dem "purrfect" zu belassen. Die Polaroids habe ich mit ausgestanzten Büroklammern auf gemustertem Weihnachtspapier "befestigt" und alles zusammen anschließend auf die Kartenbasis geklebt. Ich hoffe, ihr habt nicht zu viel Stress, Lust und Zeit morgen noch einmal reinzuschauen, um die letzte Karte meiner Serie zu sehen und heute einen schönen Vor-Weihnachtstag! Next I added the greeting for which I had coloured some letter stickers the same colour as the Christmas hat. The sentiments on the outer frames are simply stamped, so that the focus would be on the "purrfect". I "attached" the frames with die cut cut paper-clips to some pattered paper and glued all of it to the card base I had prepared. I hope you are not having too much stress, that you will find the time to come by tomorrow for my last card of the 2017's edition of my Christmas series and that you will have a wonderful pre-christmas day ;o) Happy crafting, yours Maike

Schön, dass ihr hier vorbeischaut. Ganz außer der Reihe möchte ich mal wieder eine Nicht-Weihnachtskarte mit euch teilen ;o) Der Cards und More Blog feiert die 200. Challenge passend mit dem Thema "Geburtstag". Hier ist meine Karte:

Heya my dear friends!

Lovely to see you here ;o) And it is a non-Christmas card for a change, because the Cards und More blog is celebrating the 200th challenge with the new theme "birthday". This is my inspiration card:

Noch passender ist das Ganze, wenn man weiß, dass es einen neuen Start, also quasi einen Geburtstag für einen neuen Challengeblog geben wird. Da der Cards und More Challenge Blog schon seit Langem nichts mehr mit gleichnahmigem Shop zu tun hat, ist dies nun gleichzeitig die erste Herausforderung auf dem neuen Challengeblog namens Papercraft Challenge.

It is a very fitting theme as well, because this challenge will be the first of a new blog. The Cards und More blog was once one that was connected to the Cards und More shop, but not for the last three years. So this will be the first challenge of the new blog called "Papercraft Challenges"

Und nun zu meiner Karte. Ich brauchte noch eine Männergeburtstagskarte, also kam die Challenge gerade recht. Der Hund aus dem Set "Christmas Puppies" von Gerda Steiner Designs eignet sich hervorragend auch für nicht weihnachtliche Karten. Passend zum Thema der Tüte, in der er sitzt habe ich auf meiner Karte ein paar Sterne verteilt und bin farblich im türkis-gelb Schema geblieben.

But not on to my card. I needed a male birthday card so this challenge theme was perfect. I used a dog from the "Christmas Puppies" set by Gerda Steiner Designs, but as you can see it is also perfect for non-Christmas cards as well. Because there are stars on the bag that the dog is sitting in I used stars as embellishments and mainly used the colours yellow and turquoise.

Christmas Series #23 / Weihnachtsserie #23 (Christmas Puppies)

Weniger als eine Woche bis Weihnachten... Wahnsinn, wie schnell die Zeit vergeht. Heute habe ich eine Karte für euch, die recht schnell gemacht werden kann und als Inspirationskarte für die neuste PINspirational Challenge entstanden ist. Falls ihr also bemerkt habt, dass euch doch noch die ein oder andere Karte fehlt, ist das vielleicht eine Idee für euch:

Christmas is less than one week away from today.... Crazy how time tends to fly, especially towards the end of a year. Today I would like to share a card with you that can be made fairly quickly as an inspiration for the newest PINspirational Challenge. So in case you found out you didn't have enough Christmas cards prepared after all, maybe this is an idea you might like:

Inspirationsbild / Inspiration Picture

Ich habe mit dem Stempeln des Hintergrundes und des Hundes begonnen. Den süßen Hund  mit Copics coloriert und als nächstes habe ich dann das Stempeln auf dem Hintergrund weitergeführt. Die Buchstaben habe ich jeweils zweimal gestempelt: einmal auf dem grünen Hintergrund und ein weiteres Mal auf weißem Papier. Die Letzteren habe ich ebenfalls mit Copics coloriert, ausgeschnitten und dann genau über die anderen geklebt. Den Hund habe ich mit Foamtape aufgeklebt, in die Mitte der Schneeflocken habe ich Perlen geklebt und damit war meine Karte auch schon fertig.

I started by stamping the background piece and the dog. I coloured the cute dog with Copic markers and next I added the rest of the stamping. I stamped the letters I needed twice: one time on the green background and a second time on white cardstock. I coloured the latter with Copic markers, fussy cut them out and glued them on top of the others. I adhered the dog with foam tape and added some pearls to the middle of the snowflakes and my card was done.

Hier hat das Winter-Weihnachtschaos voll zugeschlagen, dehalb muss ich leider meine Karte heute auf die Schnelle mit euch teilen:

The usual winter and Christmas chaos has hit me this past week, so unfortunately I'll have to share todays card with you in a quick way:

Die Vorderseite ist, wie ihr sehen könnt, recht schlicht gehalten. Der kleine Fuchs schläft auf einem Streifen Vellumpapier, das dabei hilft die Karte geschlossen zu halten. Der Empfänger soll die Überraschung ja nicht zu früh bemerken:

This is the rather plain outside of the card. The fox sleeps on a strip of vellum paper, that helps to hold the card down, so that the recipient only finds out about the surprise when they open the card:

Insgesamt sind es drei Ebenen, die man entdeckt, wenn man die Karte öffnet: Der Hintergrund, der Wald plus Schneehügel und den Fuchs kann man auch noch einmal "ausklappen", um noch mehr Tiefe zu erhalten. Den Spruch, der außen beginnt, wird im Inneren zu Ende geführt. Ich hoffe, euch gefällt meine Winter-Weihnachtskarte passend zum Winter-Weihnachtschaos ;o))? All in all the inside has three different levels: the sky, the forrest with the snow hills and the fox can be moved up and out as well, for even more dimension. The sentiment starts on the outside and it finished on the inside. I hope you like my Winter-Christmas-Card ;o) It is quite fitting for this winter-Christmas-chaos over here, so I am quite fond of it ;o) Have a wonderful weekend and happy crafting, yours Maike ;o)
