Herbstliche Dankeskarte / Autumn Thanks card + great news

Heya my dear crafty friends!
This circular stencil from My Favorite Things was on my wishlist for the longest time and I finally got my hands on one when I went to the stamping fair in Hagen called Stempelmekka. So here is my card with it:

The first step for this card was to create both masks and stencils for the leaves. I used an Ink Blending tool and two colours for each individual leaf. Afterwards I placed all the masks on top of the leaves and added some "Tumbled Glass" through the circular stencil. In order to take it one step further (though it isn't very noticable in the end" I placed the leaf-stencils below the MFT stencil and thus added some more leaves to that area using "Broken China".

Next I used the golden metallic colours from the Gansai Tambi set to add some splatters around the leaves. I loaded my brush up with a bit of paint and tapped it on the back of my hand to get a rather random pattern. When the light catches the golden dots it looks really pretty. After that was dry I added the die cut word to the card front which consists of two layers of white and one layer of red paper. I had used "Festive Berries" to colour the paper and stamped over it with "Tea Dye" ink in a wood pattern. Those are the exact same colours I had used for the acorn leaf.

And before I will publish this post I just wanted to let you know some fabulous news!!! There was a DT call over at the Crafty Cardmakers And More Challenge blog a while ago and I applied! And now I am very happy to announce that they have accepted me in to their wonderful team. So from now on I hope I'll be able to inspire you with one of my cards! 5. I didn't notice until you described that you stenciled the leaves over the circular stencil, but it looks awesome... Looks like the leaves are falling into a puddle, and those are the shadows! The gold adds to the motion! Well done
